Dude, These guys are nuts! I still can't get over them. These guys are cooler than stunt doubles (mainly because stunt doubles get payed to hurt themselves, but these guys are so that they don't need the money). I guess anyone can be one, but it takes alot of training. But it's so cool! If I wasn't so friggin lazy I'd want to be like them. Sounds kiddish I know, but just take a look! Sweeeeet!

Still very impressive though.

I can manage the rolls, but the flips on the railings don't er... look very safe.

It's called 'Tricking', and I've seen better. But the tree sliding, and the repeadative backflipping is new. I've seen people run up walls so much higher. The Roof jumping is normal though.

pirates are much better than ninjas. but yeah a guy on one of the games store forums I go to does this stuff, he is really ripped and has videos of him and his group doing the stuff. I run and jump over thigns in teh city for the fun of it, but not like this.

I think this guy was in Seattle in part of it (that I know). I know because that is a seattle mall that he jumps across and what not. I saw the same elevator and the same candy shop in the background.

I remember the Parkour advert they had for Channel 4 (UK) - bloke running up and down buildings, leaping between the tops, up and over fences and walls - and finally got into his rooftop apartment and sat down to watch telly

I think that was the first time it got any kind of big publicity in the UK.

Alas, did a bit of checking, and I had the wrong channel - it was BBC1 and it was the Rush Hour advert.

As has been already said, thats basically just "Free Running" and Gymnastics with a few pretend fight moves at the end. VERY cool though, I wish I could do that I have troubel doing a forward roll nowadays!

What I hate about all this stuff is that you want to be able to do it, but realise it'll take about 5-10 years to get that acrobatically sound. And being 24, I'm pretty much past it now anyway. If I trained like a troop, I'd be 30 before I could jump through that sausage shaped hoop in any way other than a pigeon having a coronary.

So I resolve to kill everyone who is skilled at parkour, free-running, ninja style, or whatever. It's the only way to make the world fair! Who's with me?

Man, you don't realise. You might think 24 is young, and it is! But, when you hit 24, it's no longer possible to drink without getting a hangover the next day. It's no longer possible to eat really spicey food without your gutt grumbling at you. It's no longer possible to play games for 3 hours straight without having a thumping headache and strained eyes.

Basically, you start to realise, it's all downhill from here on. Kangaroo will back me up on that one.

Pff. Wimps.
I'm older than 24 (just) and I can quite happily eat hot Jamaican, Indian or Mexican food and there's no 'gut grumbling'. I've never had a hangover. And I can play games for 8 hours straight without headaches, never mind 3.

Being 24+ is no excuse.

Everyone is different. I think me and Kanga are irreparably damaged. Maybe that's the problem of our 18 y/o drinking laws. We all start at about 16 or 17 and have racked up 6 years of abuse by the age of 24! These days it only take 4 pints and I'll at least feel it the next day, even if I wasn't even pissed the night before. I used to quarf down vindaloos and I think that's taken its toll. Now Madras is as hot as I go. Plus, I can only manage about 30mins playing Live For Speed before my eyes are totally knackered for the day. Ya know, externally I'm pretty fit, but the internal stuff is pickled to hell!

Although starting at 16-17 is a little optimistic, unfortunalte most kids I know start drinking whit cider from those big cheap bottles from corner shops at about 11

Well we get proper "beer" - what most american's call beer is "lager" - for lagers I quite like Budweiser though, and thats american so I assume it tastes the same over there?

Er, no, I just didn't see it at the time. Chill the f**k out. Grief. As it happens I originally got it in an email a few months ago. Prompted me to look up "bored" sites at work. Some clips are tops.

Typical though, I thought you were the original poster, so I took ages looking at the entire original "Urban Ninja" video, incase I had missed a clip of the one I posted. Slow as arse download too... Oh, and the "Urban Ninja" is rubbish in comparison! I mean most of it is not even as good as some of the gymnastics you see at the olympics, and most of the jumping around doesn't cover 10 foot off the ground. Oh no, I may sprain an ankle. Or perhaps break a nail. Sheesh.

Lager is actually a type of beer, the other type is an ale. Correct me if I'm wrong (it's been a while since I learned this on a school excursion to a brewery), but I believe it depends on the type of yeast used and the temperatures required for the fermenting process. Essentially lagers are better suited for colder temperatures whilst ales are drunk in a warmer climate. This caused quite a problem down here, because we all came from England (which is characteristically a cold place) so what we traditionally drunk was quite unsuited for such a hot climate.
