FPSC Classic Scripts / AI script writer needed!!!

My friend and i are making an fps but will require almost a clompletely new set of charcters and animations. We need Sophisticated AI to coordinate with these aliens/monsters/ and other things. Neither of us know anything about scripting. I'm guessing all it is is that you make AI by setting certain animations as reactions to certain events? anyway i wouldn't know how to do that anyway. I'm looking for someone who is willing to write all of our new AI for free. However, we would give you all rights to use those models in your own work nd sell that work. However redistibution of the individual models alone or in packs would be prohibited. we just started concept designs for guns and some of them are absolutely amazing! is there gun AI too?

You would be well advised to create the weapons around the engine AI capabilities and not expect to write AI in support of any kind of weapon you can think of. You will have to go with engine restrictions and the kind of weapons it will allow support for.

Within those limits of course I wish you all the best with your project.

see i truly don't know anything about scripting. I had no idea there were restrictions. What kind of restriction would there be and how would i find out what they were?
I was actually just going to make a models and them make a bunch of animations for them then have someone make AI for them.

yes i can.

between my friend and I we have drawn 8 decent concept guns and are still in the process of making more them. In about months time we will begin developing the 5-11 worlds Along with the inhabitants. My friend and I will be creating and animating the models. We need however more sets of AI to give the game a better sense of realism. The specifics on the AI i need to discuss with my friend. Certain objects like camera's that actually have an effect in gameplay is one thing. Like If i give you an animated camera model. I'd ask you make an AI script to have it end the level and make the player restart when it see's the player. A much more extensive "follow" AI. But for the most part I think i'd need a complete redo of not only basic but more advanced AI for all my custom monsters. They arent human shaped. So I'm presuming the current script would not work with these monseters.

so, you dont want scripts, you want someone to model your concpet guns...

for free...and there is your license on the stuff we make for you for free...

we cant sell our models in packs if we give them to you for free...

what is this forum coming to?

NO NO NO.
Step 1) I MAKE and ANIMATE models.
Step 2) I give someone models
Step 3) Person makes scripts for them
Step 4) Person gives back a script for the model and perhaps the model if it needed slight changes for script to work
End Result)I have a new scripted model for use
The scriptor(who i gave the model to) has a new model that they scripted. They may use the model in their games and can sell those games with that model in it.HOWEVER, they can not sell the model alone or in packs with other model of their own or mine. Thats a pretty good deal as i see it.

thanks for clarifying...

i can do it for you. my email is on the button below this post. just make sure the models are sized correctly and at 0,0,0.

you also might want to send me a static version of the model first, so i can get the rotation right, because once you insert keyframes, it cant be changed.

how would i implement that as a script, I'd save it to notepad.fpi
and then set it as the script for the camera or would this be like part of it.

I dont understand script at all or how to work it so i'd either need extreme guidence or someone to do it for me. I had a problem ealier with making a death zone...haha that took forever!

you send me a static model of the gun for the pickup and enemy models... and an animated one for first person.

i will get it into fpsc, fitted to how you want and send it back.
