Great! Another project then Conjured? Nice to see your still producing titles! Are you going to go as commercial with this one as you did with 'the Hunt for Osama?'

Cool, I enjoyed "The Hunt for Osama" so it's good to see you working on new stuff (including the "Do you want to fly a spaceship?" thread).

Are these one and the same?

Cheers.

Thanks Gamz
This game is being designed to have it's first level act as a Demo.

Yes, it will be for sale at my site for $5 just like my other items.
Anyone who paid full price ($9.95) for "The Hunt For Osama" gets this one for Free.
Once I have a total of five or more game titles, then I'm planning to bundle them on a CD.

Thanks, but I have to thank TGC for that, because the models and media in that shot are all FPSC.
I am limiting the media that I am going to be adding to this game.
Custom Scripting will be my focus with Audio Effects and a few SpaceShip Models added as well.
Custom Huds and a few Alt-Textures will be required too, but most of the stuff will be FPSC.

Thanks again TGC for the media, I think Simon's models are excellent!

I was sincere about his models by the way.
Others might rag on them, but I like 'em.

Solution to the midlife crisis... Have a post-life crisis! Or pre-life crisis! Besides, with enough plastic surgery you can become that little 14 Y.O. again!

Sorry, I had overlooked your question before.

YES

This is the Sci-Fi I am working on.
Planned features for the player include...
Spaceships/Tanks/Hovercrafts to fly. (including battles)
A Stationary Gun

These features will delay its release, but they are worth it.
Since I am going all out on the scripts, I decided to go all out on the other media too.
This is not only a game, but a project as well.
It will be designed for an infinite number of levels and worlds.
Each game incorporating new features via scripting, and always sailing into the unknown.
Each mission is a game, and each game a mission in this never ending story of one man's battle.

I'd forgotten I'd asked aswell .

Your project sounds very ambitious, and I mean that in a good way! With your infinite worlds/levels are you still talking about a single project -or- a series of standalone games -or- a modular system whereby the player can download new content which can be applied as a patch?

Whatever the route, it all sounds very intriguing.

Cheers, Rich.

Both of those rapped in one.
One storyline that never ends.
Each mission completed presents a new challenge for the next game's mission.

The universe is infinite.
So, why shouldn't the games/stories based on it be infinite as well?
There will always be some creature on some level of intelligence on a quest for exploring the unknown.
It is our encounters with each other that allow us space travelers to create our stories.

This game will be based on all fiction, so I can shock the world without offense. (wait til you see the story line)

The true power of the force lies in the energy that is released when the two sides clash.

It looks like standard stuff to me, but that's ok with me. But why post it here? Are you're games so special that they can't join the rest of us in the showcase forum

So what are your storyline? And how big will the game be if it will have "infinite" levels?

This is clearly the wrong forum.

Mind you this is not the only thread realting to models and media thats here in the wrong forum thats taking over the General chat forum so give and take I guess this could just be renamed the free for all forum and leave it at that.

Why I should care I dont know - but would just like to see everything kept in some kind of sensible order.

No else cares.

Happy posting everyone.

Personally I don't have a problem with it; I've always viewed this forum as a "General Whatever you want to talk about" forum.

But this isn't general, it's showcase stuff. Also the post doesn't show anything special at all, just FPSC library stuff.... soon we've got all kinds of people placing wip pictures with FPSC library stuff cluttering this forum section.

Does it really matter? I've seen some pretty good set-ups with the native FPSC library. Sure it could be in the Showcase Forum; but this is FPSC Chat, which (to me) denotes anything and everything that is FPSC related. Ultimately it's up to the poster and TGC to police posts and place them in the relevant sections. I used to put up posts about my models in "Models and Media" and in FPSC Chat, when they still had a Models and Media Sticky here (I still have no idea why they got rid of it). If this thread was in the Bug or Script forums, then I would definately agree.

But this is all just my opinion anyways.

@uman & BenjaminA
Why don't you both read the thread at the top of the forum.

Read before posting to this board
Quote: "
Today (October 6th) I purged out loads of useless or really old threads from this board. So now I'd just like to tell you what IS allowed here:

2) SCREEN SHOTS of games. And only post your best, well light-mapped, gorgeous screen shots please. Screen shots with "demo coming soon" is even better. Or screen shots with "demo available" are absolutely the best."

There was a screenshot in the first post, and now I'll say....
"demo coming soon"

You have a point though, I should have something up by now.

Unless you fail to grasp this concept then you would uderstand that this project has no end.
Therefore, I can use this same thread (an endless WIP) to showcase the game when I do have the demo.
I can also use this same thread for announcements of all game missions.
So, I am saving forum space if you stop whining and think about it.

FPSC Library stuff is special to some of us.

If you don't like this thread, then don't comment here.
Otherwise, you are only bumping it back to the top.
