Milkshape and Doga both require registration. Doga continues to work I believe but Milkshape only lasts 30 days. But then for $20 you get a great program so it's worthy buying.

Metasequoia LE is free and very easy-to-use modeller. It lacks only the animation features. But it is very nice piece of software still!
