Hi everyone,

I'm using DirectX(JT) export from Milkshape to DBpro.

The problem is that although I can see the .X animation with Deep Exploration, when I load the object in my DBPro program I see nothing!

I have use the same export settings with some low poly animation and it works perfectly with the same DBPro program.

Since the model that does not work is around 5000 poly count, I think this could be the problem.

Has anyone experienced something like this or has any ideas?

Thanks

i had this problem before.
1.Check if your model is not away from the axis points.
2.DB doesn't support mesh deformation, you have to assign a group for every bone.
3.your model could be super small, or big, use AUTOCAM ON
4.5000 poly should not be a problem, db can still export them, they just run slower (depending on your machine)
5.i suggest using lower polycount models for games
6.UNCHECK the operate on selected joints only tab in milkshape
7.Make sure you'r not in animation mode.

Hope that helped

Well, I'm working with DBPro, and it supports mesh deformation.

I am using the settings as shown in the tutorial:

http://http://dakoren.home.attbi.com/

-'Animation' is not pressed.
- I did uncheck the 'operate on selected joints only'

What I have observed is that it appears and works right in retained mode (no mesh deform although, that is DBClassic mode), but still not working in 'DirectX Skin and Bones' mode, although the small model does so.

Thanks anyway yosepp, any other suggestions please?

And another detail I forgot to mention is that binary mode works fine for the small model, but with the large one the object does not appear even using Deep Exploration...

Is there any place I could download your model from? I made that tutorial and I could see if I can find out what I'm missing in my tutorial to get you situation working.

Well, sorry but ... I can't give you away my model! And it's a little big for posting (altough we could try).
But tell me if I can do something else, I want to help you.
