The only answer currently has to be No. Unless TGC make anything any different in future the situation will remain.

FPSC level sizes are very large and its probably the slowest software around loading anything that I am aware of.

I have one single level at around 170+mb which will eventually pan out at around 200mb I guess and you dont want to know how long that takes to load. Make the tea while waiting is the best option.

click file/preferences and select quick lightmapping. Makes it much quicker, and choose these options in the final build. Bear in mind that this will affect the lighting quality.

My advise to you is once you have finished a level and the loading time is too long or your frame rate is suffering, split the level in two. That way loading time is divided and your frame rate will improve. Quality over quantity.

Splitting a level in 2 will end up hurting the level more then helping it, expecally in an instance I read about a small house. Keep it together, and optimize it.

Load times - cant really be affected without other unacceptable consequences.

Having less content or quality of content or cutting level sizes is No answer at all.

The answer to the oringinal poster is therfore a No at the present moment in time until or if TGC are able to make improvements to FPSC.

Play around with FPSC for a good day. You will be suprised what you learn.

And loading times is something you deal with, I couldn't give a crap if it took an hour for my game to load, as long as I was happy with what loaded.
