Want to see the landscape in action? I’ve created a one level demo in FPSC. Complete with landscape items, enemies, structures, even if you’re not at all interested in the FPSC Landscape Pack 1, it’s still fun to play!

This demo is actually a level from my game in progress: Mars Take-Over.

Where was this thing installed? I got no chance to select a folder during installation, and now I can't find the whole file anywhere from my computer. I scanned my hard drive but I found no sign of this game after installing.

You download the zip file, unpack it to a place of your choice. Run the unzipped exe file, it's only one file called landscapedemo.exe, so search for that one.

Well, I tested this thing yesterday. The landscape looked really good and refreshing, but reminded me more of a dry desert than mars. The spikes and cliffs added nice detail to the landscape, and it was fun to climb them. However, I noticed one (big) bug too:

-The AI enemies do not die when you kill them, nor fall to the ground, their animation just suddenly stops and they stand still looking dumb-founded.

Anyways, exellent demo. Looking forward for the game!

Thanks Psycho Warrior. As for the desert, I guess the landscape could be used for that also. But.... if I look at pictures of Mars it actually reminds me of a desert. In the landscape pack, there's actually much more then only this landscape. Mars only represents 25% of the landscapes included.

As for the enemies, you're absolutely right, it is a bug and I've been able to trace it and deal with it, so the finished game will not have it. But when noticing it myself, I found it kind of cool, the way the enemies freeze when dead..... but it is kind of confusing also.

Hmm, that might make sense, since the enemies are some kind of robots. If you could make them totally freeze, then it would actually work pretty well, but they're still "breathing" after dying in the demo.
