Whoa dude! Sometimes simpler is better. Sometimes using the entities made for the game kinda helps...
And whats the giant star for? None the less, its got potential.
Lag, so long as its not drastically bad, is no issue for me - its gameplay that matters, and your game might have "star" potential (loving the pun)

That star thing annoys me. Isn't that star symbol of Jewish people?

Screenies look great! Only thing is your frame rate. 14 fps? Too low for me.
