Those of you who have seen Robert Rodrigues's masterpiece Sin City will know what I mean when I say amazingly stylish effects, I have just been thinking about how cool it would be if someone made a Sin City game, whilst also thinking of a new project I could do that is totally origional.
After a few minutes of thinking this, it ticked, "I'll make the Sin City game"
So I have started making this game which I think is pretty stylish (just look at the screens).
I have made everything in B&W except from the colour red, to match the Sin City effects, and please know this, there is no image editing with this, it is all completely unedited shots; the game actually looks like this.

Looks nice. It looks like he put the textures into ps and desaturated everything. If I am right, that is a lot of work (not hard to do, just very time consuming to desaturate all of the textures).

Cool idea.

It will be good to see the entities (characters) in b and w and then have the blood splats in red.

Keep at it. Looks good!

ok well the shots are kinda cool/ nice.. u need to use DIFFERENT colored lights, i mean SURE white lights fit the scene... but its repetative and gets bland and boring seeing the same white light at the same elevation just in different spots... just constructive thoughts........ more lights

Yea I will have different couloured lights, but to keep the Sin City effect; I must make sure I only show Red, and a slight splash of blue and yellow. These are the only colours I can use.

Have you read the original comics? There is more color than just those 3. He uses color to highlight details in a dress or a car and to add effect to a important scene. So you do have the option of other color's. Don't just rely on the film for your infulence. Read the comics too if you want to make a true Sin City game.

Well yeah, ive read some of the comics, and I know about that;
but what I meant then were the lights, he never uses any other
colour of light some things such as important pickups, people and
as you said; cars will be in full colour (just a bit more vibrant than the origional textures)

Oh right, there is no B&W one in the screenie, I just said that as a retoricle *sp question, because its obvious you go through the red door, its red so people choose to go through that one.

Yeah I would change the name, and make the player a totally different charicter. Definitely don't even use sincity in the title at all. Marvel is infamous for shutting down or taking legal action on people useing their stuff. Heck look at "City of Heroes"- They would erase your charicter if you had anything close to what marvel has due to legal issues. But good job. and I agre with Talairina; You should use some other colors besides red.

JEEZ!You people just STFU! You waste more space complaining about people wasting space than the people your bashing! Man, I thought I had no life.

@Natflash Games-You know, your right. It belongs to DarkHorse Comics. My apoligies, I just read Cal Man's post and remembered that Frank Miller did a lot of work for Marvel and shame on me I connected SinCity with Marvel that way. darkhorse on the otherhand may be a bit more forgiveing considering they are(/were?) an independant comicbook publisher that kinda would rout for the smaller unknown guys.

This idea is amazing! I'm a real big fan of Sin City so this should be awesome, good work.

Some ideas, you need make orther things different colours because you seem to be just using red. Add the blue in on the cop car. Remeber, peoples eyes need to glow depending on the character. Like Marv, make things just glow white (his plasters). You need to find and use the rain decel, then colour the rain completely white, that would RULE!

I'm sorry guys, but all the files I created for Sin City have been deleated tried everthing to get them back.
Not to worry though when I get better with DBPro I'll create a Sin City game with that, I seriously love Sin City too much to cancel the project.
P.S. Who else thinks Sin City should've won best movie in the MTV movie awards? Oh well at least it got nominated.
