So my friend has been bugging me to play this Rakion thing for months, and I finally gave it a shot today. It's apparantly an online action "RPG". I thought it was garbage at first, because all I saw was mindless hack n slash, but once I realized there's more to the combat engine then meets the eye, I was hooked.

I played for about 2 hours total, and by the end was owning...someone. Anyone wanna grab a copy of this (free) game and go online tommorow for some sparring? Wanna look more into this, as apparantly there's leveling up and eqipment to buy.

So if you hate modern RPGs and want an RPG where you can actually kick ass, trying grabbing it.

i think you should. its very addicting =) great game, and seemingly possible in DBP. Just wish it was more like MMORPGS, less like Battle.net.

Well, most of the dueling servers have a lvl cap. (1-10). The great thing about this game is I am level 2, and I'm owning up level 5-8 just because I know how to fight, and the other guys are slashing constantly and never going on the defensive.I can kill most warriors/blacksmiths/ninjas but god do the archers and mages give me trouble. The sooner you look at them they go running.

i played the game, then i watched the clock and i was 10minutes late for the bus. and a whole hour of my day was gone to waste. (i should be moving around computers, now i'm behind scedule) THANX FOR TELLING ME TO DOWNLOAD STUPID GMAE.

f*ckin blacksmiths can kill me with one combo! thats so cheap!

Ninja class is alright... dont get alot of kill and jumping around would be alot easier if there were better controls... once you go in a certain direction your gone, changing is a bit slow.

I dunno. Gunbound left a pretty icky taste in my mouth with its awful translation, glitchy netplay, and lack of any moderation whatsoever. I may try this game, though.

So someone here was smack-talking archers, so I just had to share this ownage with you.



Pwned up the entire game with my Lv1 Archer, going up agains't levels 4,5,6. Took on two smiths at once, hopped around like a rabbit pumping arrows into their heads. As someone mentioned, smiths are strong but dead slow. Once you learn to play, doesn't matter what level you are, you can still out-class them if you got some skillz. Raked up so many kills toward the end that I could afford to go chaos and just rape 2 mages at once.

The only guy who gave me trouble was a swordsmen ("Warriorlol", Blue team) who picked up my style real fast and kept pressing with dashes and out-running me everytime I turned to shoot him. Killed me a few times.
(That's a hint hint to Saikiro and other people who will/played my archer)
