you will find that style can cross into print work very well as the ink separation can be isolated easier.

What I like about it is that you could just take photos, run them through the system and it'd look like a comic without the need to actually be able to draw (like me).

So, it can be used as a cheats method of making comics. If only I wrote in a Sin City style... :/ Oh well.
