Are you talking about me? Then if so, you need to take your Riddlin. You've been bugging to get on mine and Jeku's list since god knows when. : /

And when we do talk to you, you do all this wierd crap like try to find out how to follow me home or get private information out of Jeku. Geez.

And yeah, you're an overall dork I gotta admit dude.

No comments on choice of insults either. "So sorry you were a loser in high school"? Stupid.

And yeah, Cash has been patient with you, putting up with all your little-brotherness on the forums. Don't see what's to hate there.

Actually the whole thing is missing. My Norwegian server was melted with a giant laser (or something like that) and is apparantly being fixed now. A new Catfolio.net design shall meet it when it's up hopefully.

Oh, I didn't even realize. That actually wasn't what I was asking though.

www.cashcurtis.com is a barren wasteland right now. Usually I take the time to make a decent looking web page, but I'm so immersed in my game that I can't even bring my brain to that dimension. Plus, after seeing your work, I realize just how inadequate my skills really are.

You might be bogged down, or have everything you need. But if you're not...

Sorry, but I had to get that out of the way, my school is probably the smallest High School in CA, and yet we're within the top 300 schools of California. Now since you said partially your demographics, here we have mostly Hispanic, 74 Percent."

Uh, *cough* *cough* we're like in the Top 10 for AZ. Only school to get Blue Ribbon award in AZ, our marching band was the first to get invited to the Macy's Thanksgiving parade in like 10+ years, we get the highest AIMS (Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards) scores in the state. Of course, our education isn't top-notch overall. But don't hate us citizens just because our governors go to prison.

Thank you everyone for your indulgence.

If I may quote Cattle directly...

Casey Jones has been driving this thread for the past two days. Fine, I'm a jerk, I talk about New York too much. Sue me! Or better yet, ignore me if it bugs you that much. I'm taking my thread back with brute force now. If one more post shows up on here about how cruel I am or how stupid Drew is I'll see to it the thread gets locked. Let's instead talk about how evil mother nature is, which is the entire reason this thread exists in case anyone forgot. YEESH!

lol my city was flooded, Brazil lost the cup to France AGAIN, and I'm running dangerously low on cigarettes... don't mess with me on this one guys jk

You're not a [insert colorful metaphor here] when you are argumentative, though.

I'd like to ask, Matt - despite the fact that floods are supposed to be uncommon in your area (was is, last one about 1930 or something? I'm sure you wrote it earlier), once this one is over, and the cleanup is mostly done, will you be getting prepared for something like this in the future?

If you hadn't been so lucky this time, and your home had been one of the ones very badly flooded, what would you have done, do you think?

And to others, if Hobgoblin Lord is right, and that more of Mother Nature's cans of whoopass are to be expected, will you be taking the time now to get at least a basic first aid kid ready and some long lasting food etc? (I'm not talking icky-army MREs here, things like cans of tuna last for years, and pasta stays good for ages if it's dry.)

I'm not trying to turn everyone into a survivalist (that'd be scary), I'm just wondering if things like this actually affect our plannings, of if we're all still "It'll never happen to me."

Better, and I looked into the Rochester thing for you... to my knowledge they're safe.

Personally, yes... each day we can access more and more of the city, and we're already gearing up for more natural disasters, what with global warming and all (I seriously think it played a role in these floods, not that I'm any authority on the subject). From now on, we'll have first aid kits, food supplies, etc. ready for the worst-case scenario, no questions asked, even if it might not be necessary, because after watching friends and family across the board lose their homes and all their worldly posessions and whatnot, I think I've learned a valuable lesson here. The mayor, Matt Ryan, told CNN that he was going to have better levees put up using modern technology (our old levees were from the 1930's, built after the last flood lol). Which means 50-80 years from now, the city will get flooded again

Quote: "If you hadn't been so lucky this time, and your home had been one of the ones very badly flooded, what would you have done, do you think?"

With my level of preparedness, my entire family would have undoubtedly gone the way of the Jeff Buckley. We were incredibly lucky the water stopped where it did, and I have a whole new respect for the National Guard now (the soldiers themselves, my political stuff will never change because I'm so bullheaded ). If it weren't for them and their l33t (hehe, I said "l33t") engineering skills, my house would be very, very wet right now.

Quote: "lets just all face it - we're doomed."

Well, the newspaper had this huge special edition about the flood, and they had this college professor guy who said that with Global Warming, Binghamton could get hit again very soon. Also, everyone has been talking about the possibility of NYC being hit with a category 3 or category 4 hurricane, which would no doubt be worse than Katrina (more people, more tall stuff to fall on people, pretty much the worst parts of the bible), and our proximity means we'll get hit with a lot of the same junk. And to top it all off, there was a special on the Discovery Channel that said a tsunami could hit the east coast. UGH! All in all, I'm hoping that we all learn from this so if all this bad stuff *does* happen (and "the man" has been wrong before... Y2K anyone?) we won't end up six feet under... water... tacky joke, sorry, couldn't help it. It's my dad's side, I swear!

You americans shouldnt build cities on swamp land; thats why your homes always get flooded.

Actually, my city over in the UK was built on marsh land, but that was about 1000 years ago.

The most water I have ever seen around here; is when the sewer grids over flow and make a little stream down our road.

I read the book "Stairway to Heaven" by Richard Cole... I used to be a hardcore Zeppelin addict. In fact, my first pseudo-serious band was named Stargrove... something you hardcore Zeppelin fans should get (I was 15/ 16 so it couldn't have been *that* serious, but to us at the time, we were legends lol). And I've almost come to fisticuffs on three seperate occasions over Bonzo being the greatest drummer ever When the "Levee Breaks" was the very first song I learned how to play on the drums (well, actually it was "we will rock you," but anyone with one hand and one foot should be able to play that hehe). Immigrant Song took the longest for me... and forget about Moby Dick, that's just super-human

Quote: "And build them out of brick. They don't tend to fall over then. "

Most of our buildings were made in the 1800's and early 1900's, so they're mostly made out of brick. It was the modern silly houses that were washed away. I have a thing for old houses and apartment buildings, the classic brownstones. There's a certain cool factor about those that no other structures can live up to, imho anyway
