Xenocythe, that was just a bunch of words. That's utotally nsuitable as an intro video. An intro video should show something happening. I found myself looking away. Then I went and got a diaper and changed my son's diaper and when I looked back it was the exact same words on the screen. Plus, it doesn't have sound. You just don't ever listen to me

i think it sucks too.

an intro or even a tutorial should have atleat something to show and a nice soundtrack...not a bunch of text and absolute silence.

Oh what do you know, my music program is bugged... I was half into an alright song, and it shut off... just my luck.

I'll have to contact someone who can make music... with musical talent.

This is looking very nice! You are obviously very skilled at terrain, trees, rocks, plants and water. However I have one comment on the flames in the first few screens: They look a little unrealistic, and 2-dimensional. You could use a totally different method, or just use "ghost object on"

Sixty,
Thanks! Yah, I changed the flames from what you see in the first screenshots. This time its one big flame in the middle of the village. And it looks a little more real

Andrew,
Thanks, but I already have a musician now

Update

The Samurai now has two animated sword attacks

1.Normal Swing
Press the '1' key within one second of the swing and you get :
2.Diagonal Slash

Both attacks have sounds for the samurai (e.g. hoo!, ha!)

Also, there is a really cool sword drawing sound when you draw your sword

Footstep sounds for walking and running now too!

The game is alive!!!!

Wow, you're quite excited! I can't wait for the multiplayer later on, but may I ask you something? How did you make that monster glow? Did you just attach plains to its limbs? I've always liked that effect, and I'd love to hear how you did that.

You mentioned you where Muslim,Xeno, but you named this game "God of Time"? either youre anything but muslim or youve somehow forgotten the shahada. personally dont care what you call it, but to represent Islam and directly disregard the shahada, is a bit(alot) messed up.

Well, technically, every Christian that develops a game with a reference to a pagan god is committing blasphemy. Tolkien certainly did so himself. This is true even if someone is using a real pagan religion as a point of reference. However, our focus here is fiction, not religion.

Let's not complicate Xenocythe's thread with religion. This is a discussion suited for e-mail, not a public message board.

Who on earth cares?

Religion should be ignored when cranking out a kickass game you want to make. How seriously can you take life?

I'm personally working on a Jesus dating-sim. You have pick up as many nuns as you can, but you get points off for the underage ones. Moses also makes a special appearance from time to time.

@Megaton Cat - That is your belief and thats fine. Being a christian, however, I would have to disagree and say what could possibly be more important than following what you believe in? There is never a reason to ignore your religion. I also find your comment quite offensive. I don't normally make a big fuss about this sort of thing but your comments just annoyed me.

@Xenocythe - Sorry for this thread going off course and I hope this thread can get back on track now.

Hahahaha, X1b, you are totally right.

But then again, you are totally wrong

I'm not basing this game off any beleifs, its a fictional story I wrote. I want you to take my word for it, I don't actually beleive that there is a 'God of Time'. Thats all greek mythology that I do find very cool and interesting, but I also find it false to believe in.

Now that that is settled, lets get back on topic.

Once I have battle music, I'll get to work on more of the battle system. It'll motivate me

By then I'm working on a model pack. You can check out the sword for it in the 3D chat board. The entire model pack will probably be used in the MMO version. I'll probably release it for free though.
