Thread: this

Game is based on WWII germany (as you wouldn't have guessed) you are soldier of third reign(ooh, the tabu of war game). Your ultimate goal is to stay alive but also save what is to be saved of your fathers land. I upload one screen here for now so you don't go locking this again(screen is from "Mental institute of Munich" intended to be first level where "Viktor Scholz" is to regain his memory).
More info about game, screens, jobs and more on our site.

PS.
Quote: "I looked on your site, but saw no screenshots. Please post a screen or two here, to keep this thread going.
-Keith"

I was going to post screens the moment I get up in morning but uman had locked it just before I woke. (for "uman" no offence you just do your job)

Those balconies look like they could snap off that building any minute now.

I'm so hoping that all of those posts don't end up here. This IE:7 B3 has some issues about fpsc forums. Anyway.

Yep they sure do look like theyr gona give it anytime but you have to stick whit it unless I put there support poles, or rip the hole thing off. Or mayby that balcony can be made as entity and hanged on the wall.

I think you need to stick some Columns on the balconies, because I agree, they will snap off some time.

@Johny English
Thanks.

@Virtua Studio Productions
Mayby I make the balconies inside the wall see screenie. (I'm currently reinstalling FPSC, some bug made it to throw me whit loads of error messages) (ok. this screenie is crappy I'll make better one ones I have time but it shows the base. what you say?)

@power pwnerer
dunno yet. I personaly have made three or four maps that I have to populate whit entities and sounds. And for what I have been told 6aciba (former 6acnez) has made 1 or 2 maps (almost ready to deploy) DaSoreyja haven't informed any progress yet (mayby he's going to amaze us in the future, hes working whit some prison map for our "Inside Enemylines" chapter where Viktor Scholz is held captive)

All of you! I need your opinion. would it be better to make this game like chapter based so one can download first chapter and when the second comes out just patch it so he can play the new chapter separately or that when new chapter comes out player patch it but must start from a scratch or do we just wait untill final product?

Campaing, Deadman Walking and multiplay maps can be entered through launcher I'm working on whit flash. (I just have to get know this software firts)

Ok. The first level seems to be ok. Only need to add NPC's and some entities and do some dialog. I hope I can arrange Some sort of dialog thingie whit dev group. It would be a shame if this project fell apart just because we don't have the nessessary man power. Anyway I keep you informed about the progress. Stay tuned.

Thease pics are taken in Quick Test mode. If you want in game picks look under screenshots section on our site: http://endofanera.urli.net and here is one pic and don't mind the low FPS rate my rig aint the best in kind. It's mostly cause of my video card. So expect bigger fps in your system.

Quite nice work, but I have to say that level is too big. You can wait low fps in every system.

PS: Have you used my segments yet?

Nope I have not. 6aciba haven't been online that I could have give them to him and for myself, I have been enhancing that munich level so I havent made any new one yet. However I liked em.

Upcoming beta1 put on hold until further notice.
We are still lagging on sound acting. Beta will be stricly sounded (and subbed if possible). How ever first beta includes lot of textures included in other maps so update size is smaller than the main file. When final version 1 comes we make new master file and updater from earlier beta so new faces can DL v.1 master installer without DLing all previous beta updates.

Sorry guys haven't got much time cause of the school and that I'm moving into my own apartment plus my computer crashed too manytimes and didn't start the last time when I were going to back-up all my files. I bet you know what happens next. I have to format my comp like 5 times whit different settings to get it work at all. Just imagine how angry I am. But no sorry for the friend lost in righteous battle, right?

How ever I did manage to send some files to my co-workers (if they have any of them left) and I'm sorry (and happy some way) to anounce that DaSoreyja moves solely to voice acting insted of making maps also (atleast this is the last info I have from him) he eagers to start recording Victors monologues.

I will start making the comeback of WWII:EoaE as soon as I found where I put the FPSC's cd [examines the content of his fridgerator].

Meanwhile we are taking suggestions for maps, missions, possible objectives and what ever you can think of. Please post your suggestions to: toni.merivuori@gmail.com or here at forum (for all you to know I check my mail more often than this post ).

And we have new guy to reinforce our lines: Chris Oakley who accepted the place of "head illustrator" for our menus and some poster desing, thank you Chris I'll be in contact whit you soon. Some of you may already know him from the forum as "unrealgraphics".

This is all for now I have to start looking for that cd [hmm, mayby it's in the other fridge].

Since we have problems with urli.net (seems to us that every urli.net site is down) I changed the url in first post.

But now the news. First arena release can be found at our site (look for releases) it is little crappy but will do for a while. It also holds the main textures for further releases so keep it safe until the new master file is released. New maps are to be expected soon. We still lag the launcher prog but it's on the way and the installer is added atleast in the new master file. The instal path can be found in rar package but I'm still going to tell it. It should be: C:\Program Files\MWT\ the rar consists the EoaE folder so just unrar to MWT folder. Further info about the progress of the game can be found at: http://koti.mbnet.fi/toniklem/wwiieoae/ since the "urli" is down.

Ok. now for real. The game isn't making any progress so I have to take over the whole project. Important: seriously don't dl that I put on the site I'll make some serious SP action for you for the next week. And I'll make the launcher what ever it takes. This project has been hanging for too long now. I'll message all crew members and see who wants to keep going and who doesn't. I'll return with some proof of my work and I'll start right away. This project isn't dead yet.

One thread per game in the Showcase forum.
When someone posts in the thread the color changes to let forum members know that there are posts that they have not read.
This thread is fine at the moment.
Keep in mind that this is the second thread that has been made for this project.
I have also deleted some foul language from posts in this thread.
Everybody knows that is against the AUP and if it continues the moderators will have to take whatever action is necesary to keep it from happening again.

Sorry for the bad language but:
Quote: "Oh and see this pic, I think it shows a possible future"
and why would this threat be locked?

Five months ain't such a long time (well maybe if you don't do anything else than just read these posts.

And for FredP: as you can see what happened to the first threat... ...and I can't find anyway to delete the old one so...

Nobody is going to lock this thread at this point and I am not worried about the other thread.
I said that this thread is fine as it is.
I am more worried about people that have more than one thread on the front page as it keeps someone's thread off of the top page which obviously isn't the case here.
I am still following this project and I want to see you finish it.
