I was noticing certain people get alot of slaps for writing really stupid things. I am glad the MODS are saving us the trouble, but aren't they just punishing themselves by being forced to now read every post by these people to approve it. Just a thought for the day.

Would be funny, but you never know where a thread will go once it starts. See you used the word Irony, that could lead to a rant about imported steel or something so who knows.

And I dont think it stinks to be a MOD - cant speak for anyone else, but I'm not particularly fragrant at the moment.

Or force-feed a bunch of liquor to a four year old and throw their favorite toy into heavy traffic.

Wow... I agree with Jeku AND Megaton in the same thread! This should be stickied lol. But yeah, the Capital One commercials were slightly amusing, but imo they weren't worth spinning off into a forum-cult-phenomena. But hey, maybe that's just me

Actually I believe you mean the "NO!" thing which has been used way too much. The "No." thing however is still quite fresh as it hasn't been used a lot here. Unfortunately Megaton Cat wants to be cool like me so he's spreading it around MSN saying it practically every 5 seconds to everyone.

The very worst thing about being a mod is people knowing your a mod.

Seriously, I'd prefer to be a secret mod - go in, approve the posts like a ninja, then out again.

The way some folks analyse everything you type, and 99% of the time mods here are posting as users, but still that mod badge seems to inflict some sort of curse, like lepresey, or being Welsh. There is one particular quarter of this forum that is really bad for this.

One example, a particular turd-monkey tried to get Rich to ban me for using the phrase 'Ohh FFS!' - in a thread where HE constantly tried to circumvent the swear filter. I wanna be a ninja mod.

FPSC?

Yeah, people do act like you're all customer service reps, and that you have to wear a tie and be courteous at all times. A Mod should generally adhere to a stricter etiquette than the rest of us peasants, but you guys are just users in the end, bringing your own opinions and experience to the table in addition to making sure that political lunatics don't wreck up every thread.
