This dude has alot of pointless technology in exchange for alot of cash.

A nice well rounded specification. Respect. Not so fast he's wasting money, yet well spec'ed enough to run anything on the market for the next 2 years.

Again, nice and well rounded.

Better then this laptop, 600Mhz CPU, and an 8Mg graphics card!

Graphics and ram is what really counts today, nice system. Should run almost anything.
Quote: "1.5ghz Intel Pentium 4
256mb RAM (Maximum, and its a laggy ram)
256mb ATI Radeon 9550 graphics card
40gb HD, 5gb for system restore and other system related things, so technically 35gb.
Pakard Bell CRT Monitor, maximum res 1280x1024
Windows XP Home
However, this is the baby I am saving up for.
Apple Mac Pro
2x Intel Xeon Dual Core 2ghz
1gb ram (might go 2gb, maximum 16gb)
NVidia GeForce 7300 gt 256mb (might get a second one with it)
160gb HD
£1,439"
You could build it for far, far less. The 7300GT by itself is pretty poor. You'd be better off with a 6800GT.

Nice for FS2004 & Guild Wars - not absolutely mind-blowing, but good enough! If there's one thing I'd like to get for this box, it'd be a PhysX PCI card, when they're a little cheaper."
Quite reasonable.

Pff, like LED's make it go faster :-p
Quote: "2x Intel Pentium 4 @ 3.0 GHz with hyper-threading (not sure if it's dual-processor or dual-core or what the difference is lol, but it says there's two processors... I dunno, "feels" like one)
1 GB PC3200 RAM (2x512)
160 GB HD
ATI Radeon 9200 Vaio Edition (pretty sure it's the same as any other one, just that they can say "Vaio Edition" to sound cool)
Creative Soundblaster Audigy LS 5.1 Surround Sound Card"
Duel processor means you have two physical CPU's, duel core is a single processor with two cores built in. In either case it will just feel like 1 processor unless you do alot of multitasking work.

Custom built. Very cheaply."
I bet it still keeps up with most games, even if it is at reduce graphics settings. But who cares? Especially if you value gameplay instead of graphics!

Good system, decent graphics, very decent ram and a first class sound card. Should last a few years to come, while not getting bogged down with this SLI graphics nonsense.

The spitting image (except mine is AMD 2800+ not intel, on a Gigabyte K8NS motherboard. I have a slightly better graphics card, not that it makes much difference. I really can't be bothered to upgrade yet though.
