I'm getting a crashing problem with DarkAI - the problem is I made a bunch of changes beforehand so I can't point to any specific line thats causing it.

In addition, it doesn't happen all the time. It will be going along quite happily then suddenly "Its encountered a problem and needs to close" etc...

Quote: "AppName: void.exe AppVer: 1.0.0.0 ModName: darkai.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0001b138"

I appreciate its not a great deal to go on, but...anyone any ideas at all?

Do you get a crash_on text file generated when the crash takes place? This may help in understanding where the crash takes place.

If you can isolate it to an area of code that will help.

If it is a windows request, that has happened well before DarkAI and DarkDP.
In earlier times, you could dismiss the error window, and the program
would conitinue to run normally.

May be the same problem...

I don't get a crash on file, unfortunately. What I'll do is go through and try remming out AI lines one by one and see what impact its making.

Its somehow linked to the DEFEND AREA command. When I took it out the problem stopped occuring.

I was setting multiple friendlies to have the same defend area and using the command to move friendlies about...

Could you email me your code or make a snippet which shows the problem, thanks.
