Jonathon, you've been here long enough to know that you shouldn't post Showcase threads without a screenshot. And with TGC's new take on "Screenshots for Everything" (something that I wholeheartedly support), you really could have waited the extra day or however long before you posted this thread so you could have the screenshot and even the trailer straight away.

Jonathon, thanks for the screenshot but you have also been here long enough to know that screenshots should always be uploaded in JPEG as the compression is much better--who wants to download a 3MB picture, especially if they're on Dial-Up and the picture is only a relatively simple screenshot? Either way, to save you some trouble I've attached the same screenshot in .JPG format here.

Again, Jonathon, please convert your screenshots to .jpg. It isn't much trouble--just open it up in Paint, then go to "Save As..." and change the format to .JPG. I've converted your second screenshot for you as well but I'm not doing anymore so if you don't want to get some harsh feedback please convert the remaining four.

As for hosting the demo you have a few options. There's Filefront, which I tend to use for it's 1GB max and unlimited up time, along with many other lesser services like RapidShare and such.

Jonathon--posting (.jpeg) screenshots is not being a pest! Post as many as you like. I'll be sure to download the demo once you have it uploaded.

Downloading Now. I will edit this post with comments after it has downloaded provided there isn't another post first.

Curiously, is the game supposed to called "Opservations", or "Observations"? I would have originally imagined it would be the latter but "Op" being short for "Operation" I think it may be a combination of both words. Unless you mean "Operations", of course.

Jonathon, I have already had a look at the magazines and even posted a reply (asking for some screenshots because it was before you posted them), but Firefox hiccuped and wouldn't load any pages so I needed to exit and go back. Anyway, good job on the models.

77% complete, again I'll edit this post with comments unless you reply first again.

EDIT: Okay, I've played it. It was alright, but here are some pointers:

- The opening section where you are on the roof is much too slow. I suggest simply having the player start inside--open spaces = bad framerate.

- The end of the first level was sort of odd because you end at a dead end and begin the next level with a path ahead of you. Try to at least put a door here.

- In some points, walls flicker. This usually happens with custom walls--I find it happens with me the most when using walls only (not rooms) in Signs II/III.

- Level 2 was horrifically slow almost the whole way through. Basically, don't use anywhere near as many windows, make some of the defaultly dynamic items (crates, sofas, generators) static.

All in all it was a good attempt and I'll be sure to download your next demos .

Jonathon, I did notice the additions from Model Pack 1.

As far as rating goes, I'd have to give it about 6/10. This number could be easily raised if you follow my advice and reduce windows and dynamic objects (therefore increasing the framerate).

Jonathan,
I have erased your sig...again.
If you want to use that sig please adjust it so it falls somewhere within the sig guidelines 600 wide by 120 high).
and for future reference if a mod edits something they do it for a reason.
NEVER change something back that a mod has edited.
