Hi all,

Okay so ive got a pressure pad which you have to place objects on. The idea is that it will trigger something when you place enough weight on it, i.e. several boxes. How would I go about working out how much weight is placed on this object? Is this even possible? I sure hope so

you can measure the force on an object, ie the pressure pad, acting in the y direction

I cant seem to find a command that would do that! The phy get collision normal force y () commands dont work and even then it probably would not work out the weight of a bunch of boxes.

Here is a quick test.

Can anyone get it to work out the weight of objects placed on object 1? Its easy enough with one box, but any more is tricky.

try looking at this might give you an idea on how to make it work right, like putting collsion in it or something.

and with collsion

this is with trigger but I think I have it wrong.

Hey HowDo, thanks for the help Greatly appreciated.

I'll probably end up going for something along the lines of your second one. Problem is that it'll only work for one box.

What I really want is a way of stacking multiple boxes ontop of each other. When a certain weight is reached it'll trigger an event. Doesnt look like this is going to happen. Not without a new command! Mike any chance of something like this

Thanks again HowDo

hope you can work out the bounce part, going nuts here, heres one more I done.

I think there is command that can do what your after but when theirs 400+ its fun finding it.

next bit would be:

if a=2 and b=4
phy update rigid body mass 2,0.0,oldweighta+oldweightc
endif

I know what you mean, quite a few commands to wade through!!

Im just going to stick to one box for now as im wasting too much time on it. If we do manage to work it out then i can add it in later as an extra puzzle.

You could have some cloth that will only break under enough weight

There are three types of people, those that can count and those that can't.
