Something is amiss with 2.053 and the constant file. Here is what I find, using the Rainbow Source code as an example...

1. Compiling Rainbow under 2.053, The menu options don't respiond

2. Replacing gui.dba with an older version, the menuoptions work again

3. Replacing gui.dba with an older version, the layout files don't load. Only the menu is available, but no other gadgets load.

I have the same problem but have found that it is somehow linked to createGadgetFromWindow(). If I don't use this line the menus work with the new gui.dba. I have not tried to compile the new rainbow because the version (1.05) included with 2.053 works well for me.

The problem I seem to be having with 2.053 is that I can't get gadgets with scroll bars (listview, treeview) to scroll.

Strange, mine says 1.03

I recompile because I get it to export a delete function, and a skeleton for processing each gadget too. If I can get it to work again, I'll post the latest version here.

The source in my "ProjectsBlueGUI - Rainbow Source Code" folder says version 1.04 but in my "ProjectsRainbow" folder is a complied version that reports 1.05 that doesn't have loading or drawing problems and also works correctly when adding/removing items from combo boxes and such.

The date of the file is 2/26/2006.

Hello,

Another update is due shortly. Unfortunately my attempt to hide the underlying workings of the Windows API was not very successful. I will probably revert the behaviour back to that of 2.052.
