You cant seriously expect to make a full thrown Online RPG without any previous programming experience between the both of you, that alone is crazy enough. Add on the fact that you want to do this with a free language, and that you want us to give you the code to do so, is... insane.

I've seen people ask if they can make an MMORPG with DBP, but this is a bit overboard.

If you have DBP, and are a pro with DBP, wouldn't you have realized you can make an MMORPG with DBP? You also would'nt of asked "how" to make it... Sorry if Im being a bit ignorant, but I find it kind of hard to believe you've gotten fairly far with DBP, especially judging by your join date (I know it doesnt mean anything but it usually bares a good representation of a user's experience with DBP).

First off, DBP is perfectly fine for creating any game you can think of. The "crappy"ness comes from the person programming with it, as it's their programming that makes the game.

Just try to understand what you're asking here, somehow you expect there to be a free language able to create something better than a world-renowned programming engine. Its just not going to happen. Anyways Ill stop ranting as its clear you're not going to listen to 1 opinion, but Im sure almost everyone will agree that your question is pretty illogical.

If you're able to lower the standards from an MMO to just an RPG, you might look into byond, thats as close as you'll get to a free engine with online capabilities. Though it's syntax is far different from DBPs, and it doesnt create stand alone exes (meaning whoever wants to play will ned to download the byond engine themselves).

@Maxim999

Uhhhhh if you "hate" DB Pro then why are you even on this forum?

And if your so "pro" with it, then why didn't you figure out you could make a perfectly fine game with it.

That does not make sense. What do you mean buid with if you already said you use DBPro? Are you talking about a program that makes sprites?

Cocacola and Pepsi aren't that differnt. Deal with it.

Yes, you need to rethink your question.

Some of us had been programming before Darkbasic and didn't jump into it thinking we're going to make the next most popular online RPG.

To me the worst thing a newbie can say is "Our company is going to make the best games ever and we're offering programming positions."... when "our company" consists of the poster and maybe his one or two of his/her closest friends.

We're not picking on him, just simply correctng him. Plus, didn't he say:
Quote: "im alittle bit of a pro in DBP"
, if he's such a pro then technically he is not a newb(though i doubt he is really a pro because if he was, then he would not be asking his question)
