Hi All

trying to work out to make the reflection of an object give the same background color as the world color(backdrop color)

bit of code.



opps. can a mod move this to the right place.

Dont use reflection shading ever, its so slooooow and gives a really crappy resault, if you want a reflection use a second camera and set camera to image.
Then color the backdrop on all the cameras your using.

Clearly that doesn't give the same result!

You can do it with set camera to image, but it's quite an arse.

I had to use a specially shaped plain that got bigger as it went back to compensate for perspective.

It's not that slow anyway....

The reflection effect uses it's own camera, which will have its own background colour.

I don't think you can set it though, you'll need to use a simple skybox. ie. a massive negative box coloured the right color with it's light set to 0.

Then neither camera will actually see the backdrop.
