I'm not obsessed over it. You are not obsessed over it. Therefore not everyone is obsessed over it.

I am a MySpace cynic. I still think it's crap. But ...

http://www.myspace.com/falloutbbt

... its good to promote my music, and to its credit, I've already bumped into some new dnb heads, including a girl who lives about 1 minute walk from my house, plus an old mate from school. It's got it's merits.

Oddmind: I guess I can tolerate the fact that you're now a MySlut, but please don't go to the lowest level and use a background image that makes the text unreadable.

Also...

Aw.

EDIT:

To be frank, I do have a MySpace in all my hypocritical glory. I just started an account so I could view my friends pics folders. Though the system is sh*t and the designs makes me want to urinate in my own eyes, it looks like it's got alot of interesting people on it. (Hell, all my mature friends have a myspace. That means something right? )

Well, you shall never find my page though! Ever! Hahaha...

Alright here it is.

Nothing on it. I'll write something when I can be bothered.

God damn! I didn't realize myspace had a "Approve pending" section...it didn't notify me of anything, and I just stumbled on it accidently to find 6 people awaiting approval.
Wonder how long they been there? I'm a dork.

Myahaha!

(I don't waste my time on myspace, I found that when I did have a snazzy profile I was getting more posts and messages than I could keep up with, thus making people feel as if I was neglecting or ignoring them when I wouldn't post right back, so I am trying a new approach with my new profile )

I also hate myspace. Everyone thinks they're being really safe and smart by setting their profiles to private so only their friends can view it, but apparently they have never heard of hacking.

By the way, I've never seen any myspace 'hacked'. Unless you mean someone guessed the password or something and that is not hacking lol.

I used to bash MySpace as well, but I soon saw that it does have it's positives. But hey, people mature.

What you may think is "GAY" today, you might like tommorow. I know you might also think girls are "icky" right now, but don't worry, you might like them someday too.

MySpace is good keeping track of friends, I mean being in 6th form I have friends doing other things, I don't think people should really bash MySpace, its not just some place where losers get friends, find girlfriends who are 40 year old men called Steve or people hacking and getting hacked.

Its very good for band promotion, you can find some good myspace bands, heck if you're good enough you can even find yourself playing on the MySpace stage at Download festival, I mean Lordi is a MySpace band. Also there are groups and forums perfect for discuss the taboo's on any standard forum, like religion, philosophy and politics, which is very good for your view, so don't just judge it for being GAY, people who go around calling things gay I have experienced have been immature people who do think girls are icky as Megaton put it.

There are losers and idiots on MySpace, but that don't mean its for losers and idiots, they are members of the government that are stupid, does that make the government stupid? There are stupid Americans, does that make America for the stupid?

I like how everyone critisizes MySpace both here and in school and yet everyone has one anyway.

Frankly for all the poor design it's still a pretty good site and it's caught on over the whole world for a reason.

Here I am.

edit: oh, you mean them finding 40 year old guys who say they are girls? Sick. nvm this post then.

All my teenage girl friends know to avoid pervs on MySpace. A bit of decent parenting or a circle of friends with a collective IQ higher than 75 is really all it takes to know that.

@Ian T - Nice to see a MySpace page with some interesting content for a change

I am resisting the urge to sign up for an account, because it will take forever to climb up the social friends ladder. Maybe I'll just do it for my music...

Heh, that's why I hated remaking mine after I deleted my old one. But people really don't judge by comparing friends, at least, anyone with a speck of maturity in them doesn't. Everyone knows it largely just measures how much time you spend at MySpace anyway. It's mainly just a handy tool for communicating with friends, meeting people and wasting time.

And thank you . I try to strike a balance between the ridiculously boring profiles with little to no content and the glaring barrage of clashing colors, random jpegs and GIFs and hundreds of surveys of others. There are a lot of cool profiles out there to be found though... but it's not so easy to make a good looking layout. Which is why I tend to borrow mine from some other more talented individual...

No, not really. Although it would take some amount of skill to be able to program that, it's still 'guessing' the password.
