Any ways i got a piccy of it in wire frame as at the moment as a rendered mesh it looks like a white blob lol.

cool, how many polys is it? if its gonna be a huge model, then you could get away with it being 3-7k polys for more detail i reckon, i'd still try to keep it low poly though, hope it goes well.

Try to proportion the model a little bit better. It's not much of skyscrapper. more like a pointy apartment building.

If that is the door, that building seems like 6-7 floors high at most. So not much of a skycraper.

But on the whole, it looks good and is quite a low polyfile to be used in large quantities.

guys a got a question:

is it posible to have my scraper going over multiple squares?

e.g. 5X5X20

(i will scale the door to be about half the size.

this will make it look more realistic

doing that right now.

@filya:that was the idea its like under 200 ploys!

i wanted to make a big city with differnt types of buildings n stuff.

Also a cheat for my upcoming game(not soon like ages away):
im ganna put a model of my house in their and if u find the keys theres ganna be a minigun in my hallway

'the game creator: TYTYTY i'm not very good a texturing mbut my modeling skills are ok-ish.

here are the last two things that i need to know:
1) can you have entities that cross multiple cells(1x)? I would like to know this so that i can make it 5 X 5 X 20 cells.


2) how big is one cell in FPSC(1x1) in gamemaker. A cube obj in .cob that is 1X1X would be useful.

Tyrano man, a few things for you :

1. It is really impressive that a 13 year old can make such quality work. Good and I am sure you will improve a lot!
2. yes, you can have entities that can cover 40 X 40 X 20 too
3. No idea about the sizes. But you can always scale the entity later using the .fpe file.
4. If your game does not involve going inside that building, might as well go in for a fake door (or texture). Saves on more polys
5. Even now, if you notice, your 'skyscraper' is just 5 times as wide as your door. Does that seem okay?


And one very important thing!! : DO NOT POST EVEN 2 MESSAGES IN A ROW (LEAVE ALONE 6-7!!). BE PATIENT.

(That caps sentence wasnt meant to be shouting, just to be make it clear. It was just a 'stress')

@filya ty for all the help and ya i want it to be 5X5X20 so the size of the door is fine. also i dont really need to save polys as it only has 31 lol.

@ screwed over thats a convient number i was hoping it was something like that and not something like 158.29837 x 158.29837 x 158.29837.

OMG it worked! but u have to do something ingame for some reason.
what i did was manualy selected the texture and then set it as dynamic but indestructable and imobile.

if any one knows the reason that i have to do this plz post any way heres the in game piccy:

that looks way better ingame. the texture isn't the best though, get a photo of some real concrete/ building surfaces and clone stamp (if you use an image editor that can) it onto the texture map.
it reminds me of fredps texturing style at the moment...

lol, paints a bummer, alot of people recomend using the gimp though, its free but i have no idea about its capabilities as i use photoshop and it didnt want to work on pc.

lol ya paint is a bit rubbish oh yer and i think i might release a pack once i finish all the buildings im ganna need.

that will be easier than releasing them 1 by 1. It's still ganna be free cos:
1) no one would buy all the stuff i make cos the textures are terible.
2) i don't have a paypal acount or credit card or bank acount or anything lol, i'm only a kid.
3)i bought FPSC to have fun not to make a buisness.

where'd that come from??? They change depending on how far you zoom in/out btw. and there by default 10x10x10 (thats why 100x100x100 is 10x10x10 cells)

please try to avoid posting pics in .bmp, most people wont bother to download them just to look at it.

ok so first a few things:
-ty for all the coments they r really useful to me as this is my first pack.

OK so heres the grey alien.(i just used remove green eye lol)

Also i encounted a problems. cos i am retexturing my zombie to look like an alien and just copied the models; i can't have the green and grey alien in the same folders cos they need the same texture name. Ive put him in a subfolder for now; but if any one has any info that could help plz post.

the aliens look really good! as to solve putting them in the same folder... look through the fpi file for the line

and change where it says filename to the texture name, this should help you solve it.

oh ty screwed over that helps alot.
EDIT: ok now there is only a FPE file a DBO file a BIN file and the X file no FPI file! also I opened the X file and look what happened!(see image)

but i encounted another problem(not major but still i would like to fix it): the alien entitys are called alien in the entity selection screen thingybob but when u place them in the game world it comes up with "zombie unarmed" in the text that folows my cursor(i used the zombie unarmed model). could some one help me plz

done i hope u can unzip .rar cos thats the only zipped file that i can create automatically. I dunno how to do .zip never even bothered lol.
