I'm actually pretty lucky that even though my gf isn't into coding we still share other interest. We are both anime fans and like the same kinds of movies so we can watch that together. and just so happens after i met her i found she’s into gaming and DDR so we go play DDR together. So at least when i am with her im still doing things i like. She's into computers somewhat but not the same stuff that i do. So when I actually am coding she keeps busy on the other computer at my house working on her myspace and stuff like that.

My (gar)goyle doesnt care the slightest about games, coding, 3d modelling, or any of my hobbies lol!! As per usual they want your attention at LEAST 99% of the time.

Theres a reason coding hours are when you are supposed to be sleeping.

She is in Thailand for 4 months though, so its not such an issue though. To tell the truth, I'd rather have her back and lose some of my game dev time, rather that be without her around!!

Sniff sniff. Awww.....i always get hayfever.....

i have this weird thing with programming now. its a bad habit as i see it: whenever i have about 30 min to and hour, i dont program because i have confinced myself that its not enough time even though that is plenty of time. it started when i had a problem with my first project, Deathquest... for me to make any real progress i have to sit and work for about 1-3 hours on it. but with my new project, Science Project, i cant get stuff done because i keep on convincing myself that i never have enough time so, im slowly working on trying to break the habit... heh.....

anyway... i agree with Krilik about "School != Coding". im assuming that you're in high school or college and i know what you mean... there's always that project or that homework or that something else thats stupid... but you want to get As so you do it. sometimes i wish i could just sit down and code nonstop for 10 hours or something. ive only gotten close once (like 6-7 hour streak)

I usually go to bed at 3:00am because of programming. When everybody else is asleep is the only time I have to program without distractions. Of course my wife gets upset if I do it too often.

I love coding at night, no phonecalls, no noises, no door knocking.
I seem to get a lot done from 10pm to 3am sometimes as well.
I carry my gf to bed, she falls asleep in front of the plasma / cable tv

Wigget don't let her know she can control you, girls are like [I'm gonna get flamed for a bit of satire] presidents, give them power and they think they own the world, go into your nerdy shops and play your Wii and tell her that Pi = 7.5squared (I never was good at maths) actually that might just drive her insane and dump you...But the idea is a work in progress...

I'm one of the lucky ones with a GF as equally nerdy as I am, hehe. She's extremely supportive of my game development stuff and always wants to see the latest stuff I've finished on the two games I'm doing. But I'm not a particular fan of her hijacking my PS2 to play FFXII that's pretty annoying lol. Since she got that game, I haven't gotten anywhere near the PS2 But eh, at least we don't argue hehe.

College. I haven't done any real programming for 6 or 7 months because everytime I start something during school I never finish it. I begin when work isn't too bad, then I get loads of papers to write and have to stop for a couple months leaving my project in dust. Then everytime I try and come back to it I can't bring myself to finish it.

Anyone who has gone out with me saw my sweet side and nothing else, perhaps I should show a bit of it when I'm not going out with someone...Funny we're on the topic, I might ask someone any day now, I mean I've got her favourite poem in my Edgar Allen Poe book
