Woke up this morning to a yard full of snow! Anyone else have snow in their yard already? It seems pretty early in the year for it, but it\'s great for the kids who are praying school gets canceled

When my wife wakes up I\'ll take a picture of the yard and upload it here.

Lucky Canadian bas***s Nope, here in the east anglia of Enlgand, we either get heat waves instead of nice warm weather, cold and wet unpleasant weather, warm and wet unpleasant whether, or sleet instead of snow, well sometimes we get good weather.

Apparently it's rare that it snows here, though most years that we've been here it's snowed at some point during the winter. It's not very good when you live miles from shops.

We've had mild snow flurries here, but no real snow on the ground that's stayed yet. But I'm not overly anxious to shovel snow yet lol. I'm a warm-weather person hehe.

Slightly more norther/hillier parts of scotland have had snow a couple of weeks ago (not heavy but the hills had a covering, that or it was very thick frost), Edinburgh's got it's own warmer microclimate so it won't be snowy here for ages.

I live in Washington, USA; and we got about an inch of snow here. But it all melted at the end of the day. Let's hope more comes tomorrow.

2 weeks ago, we had snow for 3 days, but it turned into ice with water on top, so I could hardly walk to work. during the night on the 3rd day it all dissapeared, which is kind of weird.

I have learned to hate the snow in Glasgow (*ahem* murder capital of Western Europe), every single time I go out with my friends to enjoy it I get bombarded by the neds (non-educated-delinquents, or as we like to call them, pr*cks). It really is hard to enjoy. Then if you even touch them with a snowbal they go round and gather up a huge crowd shouting "Haw! You pure battered him wi' a sno'baw, wit ye deing?? Am gonnae ba''er ye!" Etc.

Zotoaster - only a fool would throw a snowball at a Glaswegian chav/schemie/ned. I mean, really - do you want one back with a few razor blades in it, or something? Avoid them as you would rats with plague.

I'm Glaswegian, and not even I am thick-headed enough to go head to head with a bunch of chavs.

And today it is deadly driving on the small roads around my house, so I had no choice but to bus it to work. The roads are like mini skating rinks. Everything was running so sloooow, and there was no coffee at work because of the water advisory that's affected Vancouver for over a week! Basically the water was up to 90 times the bacterial limit.

But just a half hour ago they lifted the advisory, so we can finally use the water again. Yay

I can't wait for it to snow here actually, my Cats absolutely love digging holes in the snow, and with some of those under a year of age they'd go mental for their first time, they just make a game out of it...damn creatures and their imagination...

Seeing those pictures remind me of how lucky everyone here is to see snow. I live in Florida so I'm not expecting snow anytime soon, but I plan on going back to Long Island next Christmas so maybe next year I'll see some.

We had snow last year, three years before that, and four years before that. Must be the way that the way the wind blows from the sea that stops it from snowing, being so close to the coast and all. All in all, I've only ever seen snow three times in my life - at least, I can only remember three times.

In Ohio we've seen some snow. Not much, but it did stick for a few hours. It's very pretty outside when it snows, but I'd take Florida winter over Ohio winter any day.

Nice pic, round these parts we call that a "dusting". I won't complain about the lack of snow this year, last 2 years have been a real pain. Nothing like a $450 gas bill for the month. winter 05 stunk had a nasty storm that ended up closing the schools for 8 days because it was so unsafe to drive from the 15' high snowbanks everywhere. Those banks lasted till mid april
