by way of pc games, i currently play bf2142 and guild wars, and mapplestory from time to time.
by way of TV, mythbusters is about the only thing I watch on it, unless theres a good film on (as long as its on the BBC so i dont have to put up with adverts) or a one off documentary. I also watch lost, but i download the episodes rather than wait for british tv to catch up.
when i have a spare moment, i like to read international news, for example I have DPRK, lebanese star, CNN and reuters in my favourites, in order to get the "other side's" point of view about global issues, and also to find things out that our media doesn't tell us.
I also have an interest in ancient->dark age history (which admittedly started from playing age of empires), which is a shame, since schools only teach from the 1500's onwards, the precise moment in time that history turned boring, hence I cant express my interest in it.
i dont have a favourite book, i have some issue, (some teachers at school reckon it's dyslexia, the nurse says it isnt) that means that I have to concentrate so hard when i'm reading, i simply dont enjoy it, and I often find that after reading a few pages, I feel exhausted and want to go to sleep.
favourite subject in school is economics, i play guitar, have played piano, violin and saxophone, want to get a set of bagpipes, really enjoy music, any kind as long as its not slow/depressing/boy-bandish, or "shoutty shoutty about satan until my lungs bleed" crap.
that all said, i actually spend most of my time dreaming about touring the world, seeing it with my own eyes, not a tv camera's.
