For how long? Programming ain't a zippy quick *click* *click* "Yay I'm done!" deal. It takes a lot of time to make something, and if you don't put any effort into it, you get barely anything out of it. If you just want to make a few quick games and have fun with it, t3dgm suits your needs, but you won't get all the nice little touches.

edit:

that is also a tutorial. Go look at starwraith.

That is a tutorial. It is purposely simple.

Dark Basic takes time, firstly to learn the language aand secondly to make a game which is why you have got crap results. You weren't commited to spending months on a game and while that isn't a bad thing you can't criticise Dark Basic for not producing results as quickly as T3DGM. You may well have got worse results but well, that is a unique result. Most DB games show greater results in the field of graphics (especially the more recent games using shaders) and especially in originality.

Yeah, DBC makes worse than T3DGM, if I code:

then for some reason, it's not as good as your T3DGM creations. Get a grip, look at the DB games coming out now, as for example EvoChron: Renegades (DBC), Geisha House (DBP), Pirates of Port Royale (DBP), names like those: you simply won't and can't outbeat them with T3DGM. Your comment (no offense) to me only makes clear you haven't given the DB series a good try.

actually, I'm modding monster hunt to get MFG in DBC.

it's called "Cyber Hunt" where you hunt robots rather than ugly, green gremlins.

I like making games. I just wanna wait 'till I get into college before I jump into programming.

than you'll probably see some uberness.

SIDE NOTE
in personal beliefs, I don't think FPSC is better than 3D game maker. nor is 3DGM better than FPSC.

I think they're both good programs. same can be said for DBC and DBP.

You have no idea what you're talking about. If you like T3DGM, great. However, don't support your opinions with reasons that are untrue.

Zavix if your not into programming then you should use an easier program like 3D Game studio it makes very good games better then t3dgm
. i use it with ease and I dont even know how to write a single line of code. Or just use good old fpsc.

okay, I have a something to say

If I use FPSC, I won't be able to use monsters.

AI is retarded for FPSC.

however, Hell on Earth 2 will be made with X10. X10 has large monster characters and beautiful lighting. not to mention the powerful AI.

DarkBASIC is nice and all, but in all honesty, My programming skills aren't in they're ready days yet.

DBpro's the same.

FPSC V1: best game maker yet. but there's a few bugs that made me cancel my personal projects. plus the fact that you can't have 50 enemies in one room firing at once.

anyway, I'm gonna go check 3D Game Studio out and see what I get.
okay?

If you plan on having 50 enemies per room I sure hope your going to be giving me more than a shotgun...a nuke would be nice

And the current FPSC AI isn't that bad if you bothered to download some of the custom AI around. Mine's been said to be some of the most complex AI out there for FPSC, though recent tests on the latest versions show it seems to be a bit CPU intensive, which is why I'm still trying to tone it down...

@Zavix: The game is okay. But what you need to do is get a 3d modeller e.g. Blender or Anim8tor and more. Or you can get someone who knows how to animate 3d objects so you can make that monster you like using FPSC ready.

Haha, I just looked back at the earlier posts in this thread, and realized there was a Jordan Stories Games flame by Alquerian in one of his posts.

Also, how do you pronounce Alquerian? lol
