Hello community!

This is a game i've been working on for a few days. I haven't finnished level one yet!

Story:

You, Chad Dormet, have been working with Space Burviell. You are working on the largest Space Station Burviell has ever done, or any other human organisation as a matter of fact! You have been hired as a security guard, and strange things start to happen on this space station inperticullar...

This may not be what you wanted to hear, but that is not beleivibly a space station. who in their right mind would make a space station out of stone? and why all the open spaces? it seems if they wan't to get this into space, they would want the least extra weight possible, there should at least be some possible need for that extra space. and I don't know if you like it, but I think the lightmapping on that first screenie is a little odd. and where is the light coming from? you should put some lightbulb entities or something.

My two person team is currently working on a Space Station at the moment(yes that's right, two people, someone actually doesn't run from me becuase I'm kinda creepy), and if you wan't we could post some screenies for you.

EDIT: one suggestion, go to http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=95544&b=24

and download the plasma barriers, they look awesome, and they could belivably be on a space station set some time in the future.

NOTHER'EDIT: put some indestructable windows looking out at nothing, and set the sky to scifi\spc

Ok, first I agree with zaibatsu said about the lights and the segments... and then I can only say its another doom3 remake, but it looks quite good and nobody gets enough of doom, so keep making the game! (and sorry, but I would not like to have the name "Dorment" in spite of this chad is a good name)

I do agree about the segments and I see that they are being fixed. BUt the open space thing, well I think it is correct. You must think that if an org is going to place a space station in space you can ony assume it's assembled in space. so instead of the mere space station we have in orbit nowadays think of a large structure built to accomodate many people.

sure. i got nothing much to do. I'm gonna be here today and tommorow, but I'm leaving vristmas morning to texas. I'm not sure if I'll have an internet connection in texas, and if i do, I won't have FPSC with me, so i can help for the next few days, and maybe next week. I'm getting back from Texas DEC 31st.

The story sounds cool..
The lighting is good but not perfect (There's no light source in image1)

And my main critique for anyone making a space station game...

WHAT'S UP WITH THE CONCRETE WALLS?!

Assuming that you want your game to be as realistic as Sci-Fi and FPSC will allow... Do you really expect people to believe they're in a concrete space station? How do you launch? where do you land? LOL... Okay, I know that take off and landing isn't a part of the game however, atmosphere is... Keep up the good work and just consider my comments.

I like to use the Heart HUD for the health and the Head10HUD for the lives... It looks cool if you haven't tried it yet.

I think it looks really good. When someone is shooting you in the tail with a lazer gun, are you going to stop and say "hey! the walls are made of concrete!? No, you are going to RUN! LOL"

Actually, I don't think this is concrete. This appears to be actually ACME InterGalactic Wall Substance (ACME IGWS-#9023) which is usually sent up by transporter, and has polymer fibers for extra strenght beyond anything concrete could ever do. Due to special handling, it usually takes 3.2 times longer to construct, but the end result is tachyon resistant wall matter.

Hope that clears things up

The segments don't match up...it has some segment from one of the model packs with the Military segment wall that comes with FPSC. It would look better if you match those up.
