If they would have had girls like that at school I never would have graduated."

Quote: "The female model looks like Victoria dressed up with drag and drop stuff from Poser, hardly a professional modeling tool for a serious 3d person, however if its for eye candy to mask the actual contents quality then it serves its purpose well as a distraction to what is really being modeled."

Actually the female is Jessi from Poser 6. As far as Poser not being a professional modeling tool for a serious 3d person, you're correct and you're wrong. Poser isn't a modeling tool at all, it's a 3D application. Poser doesn't allow much modeling at all, it's for posing pre-made content and that is a huge difference. So it's not a modeling application at all and should not be looked upon as such.

Having said that, Poser is still a pro 3D application and to state otherwise would be doing Poser no justice. National Geographic Channel used Poser for a number of their programs. So does the BBC. So do a number of justice departments in the US/UK. Ads are being made witrh Poser, that show on prime-time tv. It's has been used in movies.

For whatever it's worth, I still think you're stuff looks good, it looks good enough for games.

So, where's my price

But to be honest.... having used Poser for over 7 years now, I after all these years can finally see the difference between all the Poser figures available.

Looking forward to the pics?

No wonder I couldn't find my thread! I searched every board about 5 pages in! what a waste of 2 minutes!

Well, live and learn

Indi, what is going on with you two. I have not seen Loc post anything inappropriate on this thread. Your lunging at Loc seems unfounded and unfair. If you want to uphold the rights of the people of these forums, than someone needs to explain the rules to you again. I'm sure your'e not a bad mod, but honestly, from what I've seen, I am not the least impressed.

That doesn't apply here, as he has multiple finished objects in FPSC screenshots. Bond's was moved (for example) because he had none.

First off, all of ya let just let Indi be. Think of him as the neighbors dog that keeps barkin. It's clear his only problem with me is in defence of his friend I'm bout fixin to snipe with this pack. We all see it...we all know it. Just ignore him.

Dont really have time to do the first page images in the lay out but I figured I'd post a few screens. It's turning well IMO, for the amount of time I'm taking on each item.

Heres the workstation again, but in the back ground you see one of the new segments to be released with the pack. You also catch a glimps of the book and pencil entities in this image.

Heres the teachers desk. The trash bin was rolfys. Keith also has one out so one wont be made for this pack.

Here's the clock.

Here's a bulkhead that was made. I always hate a transition from a one story to a 2 story section. You always get this texture bleeding that occurs. This also produces a header going from one setion to another.

Here I ran the bulkhead around the circumferance of the room. Not only dose it hide any bleeding but ads a touch of geometry to and otherwise flat surface. You'll also take note of the 2nd story wall entity that wont leave a floor. Thanks to Terry for the signs4 in that case.

The bad boys. I have to count this as 2 items for time consideration people. It was a pain making 2 exact in 2 diferant positions with the time I alloted myself to do this in.

I have 12 entities made at this point and 2 segments, so soon as I'm done I'll get images made and a little more pro layout constructed....No time though at the moment.

Hope you

Howdy,

I am a noob here, so I guess I deserve to be slapped for this: I am not defending or opposing the moderators on this forum because I don't know them, but one thing I am fairly familiar with is the fact that on most every discussion forum that I have partook of, when the moderaters start moderating, they start getting accused of dictating, being on a power trip, having a control problem etc, and all this ussually comes from folks who have the problem themselves. Sadly though I think the moderators have the toughest job here or on any forum, i.e., they have to put up with the crap of everyone else here. I personally believe that if anyone has a problem with the moderators they should take it up with them privately. Anything other than that is clearly for show. Taking it up privately with them is also the way to respect the moderator status as well.

I predict a lot of school levels coming up. This is more than I hoped for. I'm not usually jumping on the free stuff for my own use, but I really want this. People, this is like getting a FREE TGC model pack. I appreciate your creativity and willingness to share it with the community.

OK Rolfy thanks again. I will include it so they have a choice for perhaps different rooms. I will still note you as a contributor like it or not.
Quote: "BTW,I use poser myself for graphic novel illustration."

Yeah but we don't have the "critical eye" pros do.

ATTENTION: I need a favor. I know I could very well google it for my self but I really don't have time with modeling and mapping and then textuing all this, and keeping a quality I'm not ashamed to put my name on.

FAVOR: I'd like to keep track of the downloads. I had to put a join feature on my site becasue of bots and I hate going to a site that only really wants to boost it's member count for a free public item. I can't make you guys do something I abhor. I need to know the URL of a decent file sharing server that keeps track of the downloads and dose not make you get an account. Though I will be posting the link here on TGC, I believe this the only way to keep a count on Rolfys generous contribution(hehe).

If you want me to I can host it on my site. You don't have to sign up to download stuff and it does keep track of how many people have downloaded a file.
I get a nice chunk of bandwidth and I have yet to come anywhere close to using all of it...and I have some pretty large files (50MB+) that get downloaded.

I've always used zupload... It is free, no account, and keeps track of downloads. It is pretty reliable too, I still have stuff from two or three years ago on there. It has a 500MB file size limit though.

It appears this has also been started in the wrong board.

Since there is a policy for moving content that is not yet in FPSC, this will reside in the 3d board.

@Indy This has been moved for the wrong reason as there are screenshots of the models in fpsc.

The rules do say :

Quote: "until it is ready to be shown in FPSC."

And as you can see there a more than one picture showing the models running in fpsc.

I have no problem with mods doing there job but you taken this way above a pro manner and made this very personal.

Ive sent a message to all the moderators, It appears the FPSC boards are going to require some clear terms and conditions, It appears its getting a little out of hand with fan club nonsense.

This post will stay here until the clear definition of what gets moved and why is clear to all moderators, and not used with double standards between the members.

You're obviously waiting, hoping that someone will blow up and justify your actions here. It's not going to happen. We will continue to direct TGC's attention to your actions and wait it out. You are obviously a member in good standing of the boys club and we will probably have a long wait, but eventually TGC will grow tired of your nonsense you call you off. We can wait. This forum has come a long way from what it was and we have grown and learned a lot. We have also learned to stand up for ourselves and each other. You have a lond hard road ahead of you. I wish you luck.

Oh well, thank goodness for the "My Threads" link. Tomorrow I expect it will be in the DBP 20 liners forum, since it's about as appropriate.

And Indi. This will be released like it or not...I don't have to be here for 30 other people to release it here and on the German site.

Legendary.

There's no double standard and the FPSC mods have been very clear. This is clearly in FPSC LOL.

If this thread was moved in response to Candle's post, his post was in response to Pus In Boot's post wondering where his thread went.

I follow rules governed by TGC as a moderator for the whole forum.
I follow policies set by them, if you cant look beyond that with personal insults to me, you are a sad person without clear thought to the subject.

I had a look at the FPSC forums to see what was going on and I found flagrant abuse between members, that wont be tolerated to any extent.

I have had complaints regarding this post and other posts by butter fingers with vulgarity in his documentation this morning.

Users who complain to me are emailing me because they feel the rules are being exploited for fan boys and favorite users, sorry thats not how the rules work around here. It may have been a status quo for a while but that will stop immediately.

I dont appreciate having to deal with silly little boys who flagrantly abuse the terms and conditions of this international forum area, when clearly its laid out for you. There is no need for moderators if the users had respect, clearly that utopia isnt going to happen, so the rules placed down are for all to follow.

The forum use is a privilege not a god given right, even if you paid for a product, and if you cant live by the rules governed to make it fair for all then consider leaving before your actions put you in bad light with moderators trying to make it safe for all.

It would be a shame to lose access to the forums as they are a great wealth of information and community, If you cant abide by them, then the tools given to us will encourage you either to behave or leave.

If there is no set clear rules then they will have to be amended, I am waiting on a solution to these problems happening again.

Its not a case of personal fanboys for me, its poilcy. I couldnt care less if your popularity is huge in one area of this forum, it gives you no right to baulk the rules.

Policy makes it easier to have to work out where things should be moved to, what rules govern what apsects. If we as moderators dont follow these rules there is no respect and no continuity.

As for your comments xpslosys I find them childish and contrived, but thats just my opinion and I only count as one person like everyone else. How about you let us do our jobs so this place is safe for everyone without fear of insult or bullying. If you cant fathom that having rules allows this place to be much easier for users and mods then you clearly are not thinking about it in a subjective manner.

Once the policy is defined we as moderators will make a decision regarding where media will live on the forums.

It may appear that the FPSC forums are going to need a drastic improvement in respect for fellow coders as well as rules and restrictions. If i get more complaints via email, I will make a concerted effort to make damm sure these issues discussed above will be removed from that area of TGC.

Locrian, nice models. They look pretty good. Maybe a little low polygon, but I guess being in FPSC thats alright.

Far out there are a lot of fanbooys here! All the "WOW ZOMGZ AMAZIN!!!" is crap. It looks like a good model pack, but nothing to scream about.

The way your treating Indi is pretty average too mate. You will try and make yourself a martyr and you feel like you have the backing of the community, but be careful. Your attitude is fairly bad. To say that you are making this pack to fix the "injustice" you spoke of is the worst ego-drivel I have heard. You obviously have confidence, good for you, but dont use that against others. Hubdule didn't force anyone to buy his pack, and you have NO right to become the authority on quality. Your work isn't groundbreaking. It is sharp and well designed, but it is not the brilliant offering from god your fans believe it is. Practice a little humility before you begin knocking others work.

You are fairly full of yourself mate, and you would do well to listen to my advice - get your hand off it.

Locrian, if you feel my posts are nonsense please fell free to take it up with someone at TGC.
Once the documentation of your posts is revealed to other moderators, it will be clear why im on your back.

You show a lot of disrespect towards moderators and other users, it wont be tolerated.

If you want to be set as an example of how not to go about things, that can be arranged.
If you cannot fathom what im trying to say in above posts, I feel very sorry or you.
Your lucky I didnt just newb slap you for your actions towards other members.
No one deserves your indignation, or has to tolerate it.

As for school grade, that was 20 years ago for me young man.
If i get any more complaints regarding you and your actions, there will be a long term moderation watch on your account. If you cant follow the rules I have no time to listen to your excuses or petty insults.

Your playing the game....so You just insulted yourself?...Oh this is going to be easy(would have been, but I don't have time for this)...

Anyways guys. I'm going to abandon this thread and start a new one back in fpsc m+m. He'll eventually get tired of moving a thread that has obvious game screen shots and follows the rules....otherwise he'll be moving threads all night as he'd have to move everyone's. And if he's singling me out that helps our cause as well....So, one way or another.

Like I've said....ignore it...

indi,
I get off the computer for a few hours and this happens...
I don't know exactly what is going on or why but I will make this perfectly clear for anyone who does not understand it.
I will not put up with this nonsense about a double standard when it comes to moderation.
I personally have said htat I moderate as fairly as possible and I try to treat everyone the same.I take some of what I have read as far as the opinions of some people and their opinions of FPSC moderators and how they do their jobs as an insult.
Are we truly supposed to believe that all four FPSC forum mods are playing favorites while one outside moderator comes in and plays sheriff?
If you have issues with the way I or any other mod do our jobs then please post it in the proper forum and not drag out your childish games for all to see.
You have had these problems before and the way I see it your are abusing your mod powers to carry out a personal vendetta against Locrian.
If that is not the case then I will assume now that you moved this thread (which you may or may not have had a right to do) so you could wield your modly powers and the FPSC mods could do nothing about it.
I don't know how the rest of the FPSC mods are going to react about your moderation...and what I consider an insult to all of us mods.
But I am reacting now...and I am unhappy. You should have left this alone but you wanted to be petty and pick a fight.
Now as soon as I get the chance I am heading over to the proper forum to discuss this and I hope to find you there so we can settle this like adults.
There is no excuse for this.

Wow. I guess there's no point in trying to help clean up the FPSC boards anymore.

You do have my apologies if I went over the line.

This was made public by Indi so I think that it's best to post here instead of through email.

No Fred, you did not overreact. This was a blatant insult to the fpsc mods. I believe that Indi should have consulted with the fpsc mods before taking things in his own hands. If there was a problem it should have been discussed privately between Indi and the fpsc mods. This was nothing that could not have waited for a reply from you guys. From reading the above posts we are to believe that fpsc users complained to Indi and not any of the fpsc mods. That does not make since to me. Also reading the posts things were calming down and Indi kept coming in and starting things up again. The thread should never have been moved because it was nothing less than any other thread there. And if he is not sure of the rules it would be better to find out first and then move it. Not the other way around.

I just have to shake my head on this one because I truly do not understand the thinking.
