BTW: Your going to need to go into program files and find a zip file called observations etc... extract it then play it.

Edit: Sorry i cant upload the file anyone know a place were i can put files privatly like rapidshare but can upload over 250MB

you could always split the file into 2 parts with winrar (or winzip if it does it)

Hi peoplz! Btw thankz darth vader. anyway im getting a error when i build or test the multiplayer level i have the latest version of FPSC but im getting this error. Also i have more news on the game... im hosting at a better service and here are the game states:

Ideas working on it playable:

Mission 01: 44 mins: including toutrial
Mission 02: 30-35 Mins:
Mission 03: Currently 35 Mins: 45%

Multiplayer 01: 8 Players: Big:
Multiplayer 02: 12 Players: Huge: haz bugs will fix
Multiplayer 03: 8 Players: Meduim:

Also i need a menu creator that when you click a butten it will start the application...

hi peoplz! i had a idea im trying to get my game in stores like some people did but in the game i want to add a demo or a beta to my game it will increase my sales not only that when you realese your game hopefully if you sell in stores they will probly say: Hang on? wasen't that the game demo that came with Observations?
and people would buy your game!

Jonathon,

I've always found the idea of trying to sell FPSC games on a mainstream level extremely unlikely, though I suppose I was proven wrong when Nanogames got a bunch of games into those HMVs in the UK (apparently those stores are pretty popular, too).

Question is, exactly how many FPSC games could realistically get on the market? Sure, it's true that to everyone else 'stock media' is just regular content, but then as other games begin to popup sharing similar media, it could ruin the entire idea.

That said, if you wish to go down that road best of luck.

EDIT: On top of that what happened to the demo? You said you were reuploading it but I never heard anything further about it.

Jonathon, thanks. It's obvious that everything is included this time considering the larger file size .

That said, I may or may not download it just yet. My monthly bandwith limit has been exceeded by 2GB already (I'm on a flexible plan, but it still costs me extra per each GB I use up past that), so I may just wait until the 1st before I download it. That said, I might just bite the bullet and download it. We'll see.

Jonathon, sorry if it sounded like I was attacking you or anything. I just tend to be a little bit pessimistic in the whole "Making it with FPSC" thing. That said, I still wished you all the best so don't take it as if I'm saying you arn't going to do well. I hope you manage to sell it.

Anyway I ended up biting the bullet and downloading the game. I've finished it and I've got several pointers for you.

Firstly, the story was a little hard to follow. I would suggest maybe instead of using a series of pictures, using something like Fraps to make proper "movies". The image sequences were alright but it seems more logical to do proper movies.

Secondly, I'd suggest making the Fax machines and Printers static. As they are they hold they're stock dynamic scripts--which isn't very good especially for the printer as it says "Your Text Here".

Thirdly, some of your areas slowed down because of numerous dynamic entites like barrels in one room. While I understand that some physics-enable entities are good, having them on barrels that most people will just walk by might be considered a little counter-productive.

Also, the directions were a little vague--mainly at the end with all of the switches.

That said, the level was good. With work I'm sure Observations could shape up to be a really good game .

thank you jiffy also i hate to brake it to you those cut scenes art images only the last cut scene at the first level is. Also now that i know how to get a car to move i can make twice as better cut scenes. ow dang never noticed it said your text here will change that.

I knew that there were one or two cutscenes that weren't only images, but I'm almost certain there were more than one. Anyway good to hear you'll be fixing that stuff. After everything's done I'm sure it will be great .

Hey everyone just finshed making the Observations application icon! i also change it. I used FPS free guide helped alot! it works i tested my self. Ow just remembered here are the new states for the game but first i like to tell you i have 2 new wallpapers ill post them later and the 3rd level has 2 secrets! anyways:

Mission 03 48 mins 75% the time includes the time it takes to get to the secrets and how many avredge times i

ok i tested it, i told you what i think but ill just post it here as well in-case you forget
-Lower ambience level and add more lights for a darker effect
-get a better bot script
-fix voice levels in the Cut scenes
-make the Cut scenes videos fluent, not pictures
-when you get to this room and look out the window, use can see the bottom of the skybox, so it looks like you are floating (see pic added)
-add more levels in the final game because i finished it in about 7min
-after you talk to the SWAT guy in the 2nd level in that room, from then on it laggs at about 15-17fps until you get out of the room the to boxes and generator
thats all i can think of for now
-its a bit easy, i didnt die the first time i played it
ill add the pic as soon as i take a screnny
-im not sure if the cut scenes said stuff about the story, but i didnt notice and sign of a story line in those 2 levels
-the fax machines say "put your text here"
-on the add-on huds (like the fax machine one) u need to improve it because the colour isnt very good and you should make it look like the rest of the huds (like press enter to open door and such)

Ops sorry about 6 in row i win! lol anyway still cant build my multiplayer game it has lights decals i tried re doing it did not work it stops at loading eneties anyone got this problem? it worked with all other updates...

The light decals are dynamic entities, and you are not allowed to have dynamic entities in multiplayer. This means no light entities, because they cannot be static.

And oops, I never learned to count. It makes making sequels really hard. lol

ok thanks for trying to help... i have a demo coming in about 2-4 days just need to test the setup and everthing...

EDIT: Noooo! the shortcut and start menu shortcut don't work! noo! everything eles does i play it from the going to program files clicking on the exeacutable it works but the rest don't the screen just turns black. im using Inno Setup... Please help!
