Armageddon-Nuclear Abyss:

You are Tom Steinford, a specialist in high-risk missions. In the year 2012, President George W. Bush has finally gotten consent from the highest military officials of the U.S government to finish the war on terror with atomic weapons. The UN has warned the United States that they will be kicked out of the UN if they don't cease their aggressive use of nuclear technology, but the U.S could care less.

Your task is to find the U.S nuclear weapons cash, and make it disappear without a trace.

This is an active project that i intend fully to finish, and will also have an active plot/storyline with many twists and turns.

Our website can be located at http://www.pyrogames.org, and any news on the game or other pyro-games related information can be found there as well.

The demo was a little too big to post on the forums, so i uploaded it to rapidshare instead. The download can be located at http://rapidshare.com/files/15888801/Armageddon_Demo.zip.html

Comments and criticism are always welcome

12 and 16 frames aren't very good indicators that the map runs smooth.

Your also using an older version than the current version 1.0.4 think about upgrading...

The rest of the room is pretty much empty..

Wizard of id, i have used 1.04, but due to the fact that it always ruins my games i stayed safe with 1.03, i will try 1.04 again though.

And also, i have a machine with a 128 mb gfx card, Intel celeron D, and 759 megabytes of ram (not a dream machine i know) and i haven't experienced any lag. However i believe you that the game may be running slowly and i can assure you that before i release the final version i will make sure all problems with the game are fixed.

Thanks for the input,

MonT

No 16 FPS is bad any thing above 24 is okay and 30 is perfect.

That is not an excuse I could get better frames on a 386.So how do you fix problems when the level design might be the problem."fix" in the FPSC realm is start a new....

Try having 248 megabytes of ram, then see how much of a dream machine you'd realize that is.

I'm lucky to have 16 fps a second with my computer.

But on the other hand, it looks good. I'll test it out.

Well, sorry to bust your bubble, but im from the grand old united states and don't have any problem criticizing our government nonetheless

And the point of this game, isn't focused around bush. By this is mean, of course bush isn't president in 2012, but Clinton isn't currently president but we still call him president Clinton if you can start to see what im getting at.

Also, the lag issues have been fixed with the game play, and its around a steady 25 almost all the way through.

P.S,

I have upgraded to 1.04, and its amazing. The graphics look better, the errors that were in the game before were gone, and the game runs faster than ever before, thanks for the tip
Thanks for the interest people
