I am working on a detailed action shoot \'em up but that will take some time so i thought i\'d relax and make a fun strategy game, the idea is that you (for no apparent reason) have to make your way to the end of a level by jumping from tile to tile, using judgment,timing and strategy plus avoiding things like fire, fake tiles, bombs ect, it is terribly fustrating but is great fun, there will also be a multiplayer version. These screenies are of a beta testing level and will probably not be in the final version, heres screenie one :

What, no monsters? You can't have a platformer without those annoying 1 hit 1 kill monsters ;P. It is nice to see people making SOMETHING besides an fps with FPSC. Good job...

yeah there are some enemies, mostly at the end of the level you have to somehow defeat a boss, more on this soon

Nice idea but lacks the visuals to go with it...And quite a few things that should have been done differently...

This cannot be multiplayer because all the entities would have to be static. So it would pretty much be a bunch of tiles, perhaps a hurt zone (can you do those in multiplayer?).

multiplayer maps would be different seperate maps just with the same principle and that map is only the first attempt and as i said will not be in the final version, trust me it works well, even if it dosnt look it

Always a good idea, but as has been said.... not too visually stimulating.

Try adding alternatives to jumping. Moving platforms, boards or bridges between landings, landings at different levels, maybe turning some of the floor sections to single square rooms with doors and a roof? I don't know, just more to look at.

The glass entity of windows can be rotated and make nice transparent stepping stones, boards make difficult crossings, boxes and crates that have to be positioned or stacked, some different colors..... etc.

all apart from the glass (greta idea btw) have already been done in the wip first level, the screenies were only to give the idea of what i meant, i just made that level up quickly, good to hera people like the idea tho

Just Curious, have you ever played the Jump Maps on CoD2? This reminds me a lot of them. I like the idea if you get some good ones. It helps to know all the tricks to FPSC when making jump maps as well. Example - If you throw and time a grenade right in CoD2, it will give you an extra boost in distance as do a few other random things. Not sure if FPSC has anything like that however.

i actually made a similar level not so long ago out of boredom lol, and it was fun, i used different layers though also and stairs and stuff lol.

This looks great, shows that FPSC isnt limited to FPS's lol

Finaly finished the first level and was hoping to post demo today but there are still alot of promblems which i'm trying to fix, thanks to all of you who posted tho keep em comin, demo will hopefully be up by the end of the day.

yeah, but in a sort of exchange ideas sorta way, i've tried building games with other people and it never ends up with a very good product but in a sorta in-formal way sure. Hope thats ok

also I dunno if you have already done this, but i've made a script that makes the fire decal kill you when you touch it.
