Coming Soon... (Almost Finished)
www.hudmaker.co.nr

The Hud Maker lets you edit the game menus and add your own custom huds to make your game even better.
It automatically generates and edits the necessary files meaning you don't even have to go into the 'Files' folder of your game.

Features:
Full support for '.bmp', '.jpg', '.gif' and '.png' images.
Simple to use drag and drop hud movement.
Resize the huds with ease just by dragging the corners.
Grid snapping for easy alignment and resizing (can be turned on and off).
Multiple grid sizes (16px, 32px, 48px, 64px).
Real-time view of your hud.
Simple hud image changing (right-click).
Tested and fully-working with v1.09 - v1.15 (Beta 3).
Animated huds with pre-built animations.

Screenshots (.jpg):
Editing the main menu
Editing the loading screen
Apply to game menu
Applying to game progress

I do know that Flatlander is making a Menu Maker and we've been chatting via emails, we are both going to continue with our own applications and we'll see how it goes.

It's looking good. Can't wait to see the finished product.

BTW, could you possibly change these to JPGs? They download even slow for Road Runner.

Probably in the future but not for the first release
The first release will have JPG, PNG, BMP & GIF and I may also add in TGA.

[Edit] Why do you want DDS support?
You just save your DDS file as any of the supported formats and then load it into the app.

Quote: "But the screenshots take forever to load."

I'll do what Flatlanders says and change them to JPG's for you

[Edit] The screenshots are now JPG's
They aren't as good quality but you can still see what it's like

Because .dds is the native format that FPSC uses and wants to use. It's silly to convert our images to something else when it's already in the format that FPSC wants.

Hey guys, I'm adding a new feature which is animated huds

You'll be able to apply pre-built animations to your huds such as flashing, colour-changing and more...

I thought the HUD you meant was the Heads-Up Display HUD. I really wish there was one.

It does, at the moment I've got the menus finished and I'm now adding animations for those, then I'm moving onto custom huds

First it's going to be pre-made animations that can be applied to any huds.
Then I'm adding in custom animations as well.

I think for this program it would be really cool if you made it so it took a video and convert to individual frames and then made a script so bam instant animated Hud.

Eventually, yes

Very soon, obviously the release date was put back a bit when I decided to put Animated Huds in but I'm almost finished now

Great

I haven't decided on a price yet
Maybe you lot could tell me how much you would pay for this?

Quote: "are we allowed to give premade hud recomendations"

Do you mean huds that come with the program pre-made for you to use straight away in your game?
If you do then I'm way ahead of you
I've got a couple of people making some huds as we speak

If you have recommendations or requests then ask away

Lol, screen flicker is really easy, you just make a black or other coloured hud and resize it to fit the screen the apply the 'Flashing' animation.

Quote: "make the edges all black tentacly, like in the darkness"

Quote: "make it silent hill fuzzy"

Just draw that onto the hud image and your done.

Quote: "make black and white flick on and off once in a while"

That'll be the 'Flashing' animation

I think a program of this scale would be best suited at $9.99. I'd pay for it at that price. It could probably go for more, but considering the ages of a good portion of the people on the boards, it's unlikely that you'd get a massive amount of sales that way.

Yep, no problem

I've almost finished it now so it'll be released soon

Current Animations:
Flashing
Colour Changing

You can also customize the animations to make custom ones as well, all animations are currently 4 frames, I'll extend this to something like 30-40 frames if enough people buy it and show interest

Quote: "could you share some video of the animated menu's and in game hud? "

I'll post a video of me animating the main menu later today
In-game huds aren't in the current version but it will be added in probably the 2nd release.

Quote: "I dont see any animations? Can You use an animated background behind the main menu?"

That's because I haven't shown screenies of any animations yet, see the vdeo I'm posting later for a preview.
And animated backdrops are possible, yes
Quote: "

I presume you mean does it support .dds files, and the answer is no.
I currently don't have enough knowledge of the dds file format to do the conversions, I'm learning though

It supports jpg, bmp, png and gif images so you make your hud and then save it as either of those.
Then Hud Maker converts it into a tga file which is then used by your FPSC game.

Whether I release a 2nd version or not depends on the feedback and response I get.
