Introduction:

Hey guys, this is the official ZGC thread. This thread will contain all ZGC related information and regular checks from you guys (If you have time) will keep you keep you up-to-date on all of ZGCs most recent activity. This post has information on the latest Beta Tests, Releases, Maps, News, Updates, Features, Future Features and Downloads. Below is a bit of basic information on what ZGC actually is. Please Note That ZGC is 100% FREE! Yes, 100% free. Please do not get mixed up with ZCG.

Basic Infomation:

For starters. What is ZGC? Well, it is obviously a mod of some form. This package includes a bit more than a mod however. ZGC includes extra media and extra scripts, all of which are necessary for the creation of your very own ;Nazi Zombies' Map. The media included in ZGC is from donations, the TGC's free media (X10 Stock Media Weapons), and Conjured's Cash System are only two of the packages of media, all of which has been licensed to ZGC, providing ZGC is sold free. The scripts in ZGC work together with custom huds to create interactive Zombie Games. We will also include a manual as well as all packages and links necessary for the creation of a Zombie Mod. Below are the features which will be included in the mod. Once again, all maps that are made by us are 100% FREE! Yes, 100% FREE!

The variable declaration system is not compatable with plys mod. I hope to be able to mess around with that aspect of the cash system to get it compatable

Is this an actual FPSC source code edit or is it an application?
Or is it a bunch of scripts and maps?

The name 'Zombie Mod Creator' makes it sound like it makes an actual mod for you.

I'm not trying to force you to change the name, I'm just trying to prevent confusion for new forum users who may join and for some existing forum users.

Well its just that if we called it sommin like: Nazi Zombie Scripter with huds, of Nazi Zombies Scripts (included huds), i dont really feel like that is a very proffesional name and to be honest i dont like it. If you have any ideas for a name change just post them here and a mod may be able to change it if we agree on one...

it's not a mod, it's a collection of scripts, huds and tutorials designed to help you create your own zombie game. (think nazi zombies)

The variable declaration in plys mod is as follows:

dimvar=varname - Declares Global variable

The variable declaration in the stock system is as follows:

globalvar=(enternumber) - Declares Global variable
localvar=(enternumber) - Declares Local Variable

In new scripts you must say:

globalvar=(number) - Must be run so that the stock system knows what to do.



The commands are very different. Do you mean that both ways work in Plys mod? If so then my bad, i'll change it once ive tried it.

arenas: i've created a script that lets you destroy a barrier (into next part of level) when you have enough money.

I have set it up for a door aswell and done a 750 version of both.

Any other ideas guys on what could be added. What we have so far:

Electrical Barriors (electricity activate and they go)
Electrical Barriors V2 (electricity activate and they turn on for 20 seconds)
Buy Guns (obvious)
Buy Ammo (obvious)
Turn on electricity (obvious)
Teleport (obvious)

I have an old auto-heal script that pulses with a red hud when your below a certain hp point that i dont mind contributing. Using airmods camshake too i think, but it can easily be removed. Ill even include the heartbeat sound that plays when your on low hp.

Well im on my 1000he right now but when I get home to my desktop ill send ya an email. Try it out you may not like it since it used some old wizmod scripts which aren't at your disposal just yet. Altough i edited it to work with vanilla fpsc, all it does is when you go below 30 hp (or w/e you like) a hud appears and a heartbeat sound plays and as you auto-heal passed 30 it fades away and the sound stops. So its auto-heal with a plus.

It'd be hard, but it would be cool to see upgradeable guns and barriers. Not sure if you could do it, or how you could do it, though.

Upgradable guns are entirely possible. What i think that you would need to do is to have a rigged version of each weapon. Then what you would need to do is use the command in ply's mod (being brought into apple juice mod) replace weap and remove weapon and give weapon. What you would do is this:

switch to another weapon in your infantry,
remove the original weapon you are upgrading,
give the new upgraded weapon,
switch back,

All done so fast you dont realise that you have switched weapon.

And the barriors... Now we're looking into them...

Is it just me or are modders running out of ideas that they're starting to resort to making their own versions of features from other Mods?
If this keeps up, I might have to fight back!

Or... if you made the command correctly... you just use "replaceweap" to replace the weapon being upgraded. The command swaps out the weapon even if it's the one being used at the moment, and it does it without the player realizing it. That is what I did for the upgraded spells in my decal-override video. You'll notice that I never swap weapons, but after I pick up each of the upgrades, it gets stronger, because it's actually a completely different weapon that got swapped.

I tried that though and nothing happens. When you switch you gun from the one you wanted to change to another and back, it then has changed. I want it to change before you eyes.

Ive been thinking. I recon that we should ask around a few people for permission to add their products to the download. Don't increase the price (much of the products are free) but add them in to make it better for zombie mod creators. Here are a few ideas on what to include:

Ask EAI to make a plasma rifle and a doubble barreled shotgun (pay probably) and include that in the pack (maybe add 50p-ish to the price ---> £3/£4 )
Cutter Next level (free and has plenty of holes and barriors; ask for permission)
Apple Juice Mod V1.00 (ask for permission)
Ply's Mod Newest Version (ask for permission)
The Zombie Your using from FPSfiles (ask for permission)
My FPSC Modder (dont need to ask for permission )

No you can't, I think. Because it's for non-commerical use only. (I checked from FPS-Files.com) I think you'd need to ask for the permission of the creator. And there it says it's edited of Jon's scientist. And the author of the zizombie too, I think.

Heres my idea. Instead of buying your way to new areas, how about after a cirtain amount of waves, a new area unlocks itself. Or a new area is available to buy?
