Based on the surfing gamemode for counter strike source i tried to make my own surfing map. below is a video of some tricks you can try. if you have your own trick(s) just post a video of you doing it and ill add it to the list.(use fraps http://www.fraps.com/setup.exe)

You should make more maps... It's a very clever idea and seems to have smooth gameplay from what I can tell in your videos. I'll download it right now

EDIT: Downloaded and played, it was pretty cool, although I sucked. But it's sad that FPSC sometimes doesn't allow jumping while scaling angles which makes it much more difficult to do 'tricks'. And I have a question: Why the clever?

no i did not use any custom scripts.

Can you tell me how you did all of those fancy features? What mod do you use? Is there a Zero gravity thing on or something? anyways the game looks beastly and you need to make more levels!

Thanks ill add HUGE Expansion today! and a competition would be an excellent idea
I really want to make this online but i cant change the characters speed.

If anyone knows how to make a point and trick system, like when you do a trick it says what trick you did and it gives you points

sorry for not answering your post, i did not use any mods, no zero gravity i just changed the player speed.

Cool idea, what you need is a top down cloudscape skybox, the higher you appear the better.

Ok its not much of a trick but I call it Suicide Jump

The video is a bit laggy but it should do. By the way at the end I was supposed to jump on the far panel and spiral down but the slanted wall things have some bad collision and I cant always jump on them... but it is still good.

I suck at the most of the tricks, but this is still very much fun. I like doing combos (like how long can I go without dying and still keeping up the speed).

Ok heres your skybox.

Take the advice you are being given:
Get rid of the cleaver it serves no purpose.
Tidy up the textures in your game, do the segments in the rooms up with a similar texture to your platforms etc, it will tie it all together.
Think about doing a night time version, you could use illumination shaders on the paths and it would look real good, think neon, if you do the work I will do you a skybox to suit.
You have a potential BOTB game here do some work on the design and it will rock.

Wow, you've done a great job of getting that concept into FPSC from Counter-Strike source (I'm a huge fan of surf maps in that game actually), so this is actually awesome to see! I'm looking forward to watching this expand and I can't wait to try it out, downloading now.

hmmm on FRAPS how do you change the video length? I keep getting a glitch because when I hit F9 to Record it restarts the game but I fall through the floor... let me try something.
