Application Title: InterFPSC
Version: 1.4 (4 rebuilds of the first version!!!)
Developer: Red Rose Creative
Website: http://www.RedRoseCreative.co.uk/interfpsc/
Email: info@redrosecreative.co.uk

Features:

Legend:
= Not Started
= Working On
= Complete

- Scene Editor - Customise which scenes you would like to include in the final build.

- Title Screen Editor - Although this is fully functional I am still working on new things to add all the time, whilst keeping application stability smooth. At the moment you can insert, edit and apply effects to Title Screen Videos, Custom Images, Background Image, Game Title and Copyright Strings. I am working on a custom strings object that will enable you to insert multiple strings.

- Company/Intro Video Editor - Whilst this is also fully functional, I want to allow for additional features such as Live Editing, Timeline Actions and Re-Encoding Options.

- Credits Screen - Although fully functional, there are still a few things I want to include, such as Custom Music, Timeline editing and Background Video.

- Options Screen - Let your users have the ability to customise the game options such as, Mouse Sensitivity, Toggling Shaders, Game Resolution etc. As you will see by the screenshot there isn't many options available, which is why this feature is still classed as 'Working On', I would like feedback as to what you want your users to be able to customise. All the options are selectable for your final output. Also I want to implement the custom options a bit more, such as custom videos, more strings and live effects.

- Final Build / Output and Compression - I have already started a prototype engine for building the output as you can see. It will read the config file and put all necessary files into a folder which will then be compressed (tested with 70% difference so far), encrypted and will produce a final build. I am debating whether to have just a stand-alone executable for the end build, or an executable with a folder structure (debatable for modding etc.) I could also let the user choose. Feedback is welcomed.

Background Information:

What testing I have done so far?
Quite a bit actually. On a test run for final build I managed to compact all the required files into 1 single file. I compared it to a zip and rar file. The test game in the zip and rar files were 285mb and 246mb. I managed to get it down to 90mb without corruption. This was a good step forward.

I don't have any set release date (even for BETA) at this stage and I don't want to say a date and not stick to it. Development however, I will be sticking to.

I want your user input to what you would like to see this software contain. It will be a commercial release, but I will be keeping the price range amicable dependant on features that make it into the final build.

Thankyou for your time, and here are some very early screenshots of the software in use!

Danny

Interesting...

I just now realized I've had a typo in my signature for the past 3 years.

Very nice Sting, I trust this will also work for Multi-player?

Thanks, Yes I do intend to make it fully MP compatible with many additional features. I haven't yet created the full pathway for MP production, but it WILL be implemented in the first full release no doubt!

wow... just too much writing to read.. also, your website is down. Do you have an expected price, or are you still yet to think about that?

Seen as though I haven't created anything for the community yet, I didn't want it to be a 'shock' kinda thing that i'd been developing this so I wanted to give it some background too. Plus as you can see with my posts and updates, I want to keep people informed of the progress pretty much every step of the way, at least they know it's been actively developed then!

I don't have a price as of yet, I have a rough idea, but until the product is complete I won't be specifying anything as of yet.

N.B: I had to take the server offline yesterday to apply some security patches.

4/6/11 - Cleaned up initial post.

Huge update on the final build and output. I am now 80% complete with this, compression is looking rather promising aswell as an encrypted format for output.

I am still in 3 different minds on approach of standalone and folder structure, as with some of the sizes the FPSC games can get, some of the functions can take longer and vice versa.

Will update with screenshots this afternoon.
