CD Thrower


When zombies attack and you sit next to your computer - what's the first idea that comes into your mind? Aight, dismount your CD drive and form the ultimative weapon out of it!

Two renders with various light sources and shadows (click2enlarge):





One shot without shadows, just texture (how it should look like when you export it to DarkBasic):



And a wireframe:



It fires a CD (or DVD, Bluray, HD) when you pull the front fork.

Programs used: Cinema 4D, Paint.Net, Photoshop (only the scratches)
Tris: 1489

i've never entered any of these 3d contests, and since i had some extra time, i figured it would be fun!

My entry is a homemade house defender...

made from an XBox 360! (and a camera and some kitchen utensils of course)

And my vote goes to Alsan. I like the idea, the model and the textures. That weapon does not seem to hurt, but it was very well done.

Yeah, Halloween is quite a good idea.

So, create something that has to do with horror or Halloween. It may be a average zombie or a scary puppet. The main thing is, that it somewhere has blood on it. (Well, if there's no blood it should at least look frightening. )

I hope that's not too boring and ordinary for a great challenge. ^^
