Hi Everyone..

This is a little thank you for the community who helped me over the last few months to be this close of publishing my first game.. wish me luck with the rest of it

Those skyboxes are for Non-Commercial Use only till I double check their licenses.. Give it a couple of days..

I've been collecting Skyboxes from dozens of free resource websites.. some I photoshoped and some I made myself.. they're all here free of any charge..

Due to the lack of time and the huge amount of skies I wasn't able to have Ingame screenshots so I'll be posting thumbnails for each package, also I didn't embed all of them into FPSC, u'll be downloading sky textures and u can build the box using the free software (Skies) which u can download from here:

Nice work! Thanks very much. I think it's possible to use 3d skyboxes that have 3D buildings/hills under the main level. I would like to try this. Anyway, looking forward to see more

I take that to mean, if they are modified in some way, they can be used as you like. Am I wrong here?

oh I didn't notice Thx 4 the warning

well anyone wanna use any of the packages (cause honestly maybe some others were for non-commercial use) just play around with them using any Image editing software, change Hue or Saturation for example or maybe smudge over some mountain tops..

...bit of a sticky wicket, eh? That was very much your responsibility, to do so, before posting them all.

Without the original licenses stating otherwise, it must be assumed that none of these
can be legally used in a commercial project, lest the artist file action and seize all of your very shiny pennies.

It's even uncertain what privileges (if any) have been extended for them to be used in any capacity.

well I just don't get why would anyone post some materials for free if he doesn't want them to be used in commericial products?
I mean if I wanna profit then I would sell them in the first place..

anyway it's nearly solved, a part of the license quote was "The above textures and models are for non-commercial purposes only. You're free to use and modify them otherwise. Please acknowledge credit in the map/mod readme file."

so editing them in one way or another as I mentioned would be ok..
I'll take care next time..

@michael x: ya I noticed no hard feelings with him I hope, n am sure his are totally different..

Maybe to be a good soul and help others with a small or nonexisting budget due to the fact that they do not sell their stuff?
Soon as you start making money with someone elses works, you owe him his share.
If you have nothing else to give, you at least owe him credits.

And my personal opinion is that simply altering hue or saturation isn't enough of a modification to make it your own work. Please respect the time and skill he put into this.

Exactly. But it should be made clear in the first post, That they are for "Non-Commercial use only". And the artist should be credited. I'd love to use these in some "For Fun" type levels.

And to think, I just purchased a load of sky matter skyboxes from TGC a few weeks ago.
