Hey guys, remember my old post of this game here: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=153286&b=25
Well since it was messed up I tried to redo it a little. The storyline is slightly different, and this is planned to be a freeroaming-ish non-linear type of game. This is going to the Ultimate FPSC competition for sure. For those that do remember this game, I haven't let you down!

In the year 2010, a group of experienced scientists recieved signals that gave evidence of life on Mars. They sent a group of astronauts to collect evidence and data of life on Mars. They brought back some very strange things. Little did they know that these were mini, almost static lifeforms named Hebberezes that depend on humans to survive, and once they have a human in sight, they jump into the body and modifies it, slowly transforming the human. Once transformed, the number of Hebberezes duplicate, and soon comes from singles to tens to hundreds to millions.
The astronauts were the first to caught it and were completely unaware. They slowly transformed into monsters, and the number of Hebberezes started to grow. The scientists, who had taken back the astronauts to study the cause, were the next to catch it. Slowly transforming into bigger, more dangerous creatures, the number of Hebberezes grew and began to catch onto the public. People, with unknown symptoms, were rushed to hospitals. The Hebberezes passed on, and soon infected nearly everyone, including the nurses and doctors working at the hospitals. Soon the city became nearly a fully infected city.
The Government responded by sending out special military forces to deal with the epidemic. They killed everyone, including survivors that weren't infected. However, the Hebberezes caught onto some of them too, and soon there are few military squads left to deal with the situation.
You are one of the surviving military members, not yet infected. You are in a city and the only way to stop the epidemic is to kill all the infected and the source of the Hebberezes, which remains unknown. Using your weapons and your brain, you must stop the epidemic once and for all.

-Adrian

Here's a first shot of the city, it's still very W.I.P, but is still very detailed.

EDIT: Now the plan is for the game to have levels, because the FPSC grid is too small for free roaming games.

Looks really good! I would add some Grey fog, but that's because I love fog in outdoor levels! Awesome screens!

Hey guys, I have two new screens to show, of the city, of course. Overall it's going well and I'm pretty proud of it.

My main problem with this is that the roads just end. It would be better if you added in some sort of barricade, but made it appear as if it kept going. Other then that, good job.

Is that cheesecake's apartment I see in the second screen? The new screens look good but I agree with Shogun, the road just hits a wall and ends. Keep up the good work!

dark peanut: Yes, that is cheesecake's apartment, looks great!
Shogun: Thanks, that's a good idea, I should start using those invisible walls.

I was thinking more along the lines of some entities that block the road from the player, but let's them see out.

No problem!

Step One: in FPSC, open your build game setup

Step Two: In Level settings, go to the edit global script button.

Step Three: Adjust the numbers accordingly.

Fog Active must be either 1 or zero. 1 Will have the fog on 0 will not.

Fog reb blue and green are teh RBG numbers. This means that you can manipulate the colour of the fog to whatever you think the scene needs.

Hope that helps!

I have a few more screens, here's the first one, a fog experiment. It works great and gives a nice dark effect, and clears as the player gets closer. Thanks Dr. Parsnips.

I decided to make small places, like houses, for the player to enter. Here's a W.I.P of a small house you can enter.

Why there isn't any blood on the floor while there are bodies cut in two pieces? Other than that, looking good. Keep it up

Here's a screenshot of a dark alley, where you'll find an easter egg, a man in a trash can! (made by Strelok). Creepy, if you go close to him, he'll say: "Please... I'm begging you... get me out of here!"

Here's an example of a road barrier I'm working on, there's an invisible wall placed in the middle, so the player can't get through.

It's no dumb question. Yes, the voice is done by me, he is panting for breath, weak, begging, and very very desparate.

A little heads up guys, this will now be a side project, and will not be entered in the competition because I have another project for that. This project will continue, but will a mod change the name to X9 - The Land of the Epidemic.
