**CoZ's Video lightmapping tutorials**

Greetings all!,
As per request, I decided to make a thread hosting a list of lightmapping tutorial videos to help those of you who find lighting your maps difficult.

This thread will be updated weekly as more tutorials are made.

Video Tutorial 1

This tutorial is simply a video of me making a quick map, and placing a few lights with light sources, so you can get a brief Idea of how I operate. I appologise now for the brief MSN interruption, and the lag during the test game (Even though the game was running at 60fps. Must be a video recorder problem).

The videos are all provided in compressed .7z format.

Enjoy

Awesome tutorial, eventhough it showed just a little. I was amazed how good the lighting actually looked. Hope to see another tutorial soon (maybe with your voice explaining how things work and such?).

Nice choice of music also (Poets of the Fall ftw! )

I dance in tune with what I fear to do adrenaline.

Looks really good! I like how you blended together the four lights by the door.

Laaa! My prayers (ours combined) have been answered! Thank you, the 1st tutorial helped a lot, I thank you so much, and now I can improve it more

-PWP

EDIT: Just watched it, have a few questions:

-What does the lighting part of your setup.ini file look like?
-Do you have full lightmapping or quick turned on?

I just tried to create a similar scene, and my lightmapping is stuck on 55% with full mapping and quality of 10...

Thanks CoZ, you are a great help! Works better now, I think it was because of the 'lightmapblurmode=4' instead of =1... Thank you so much!

EDIT: How did I do?

@PW Productions: Looks great!...although try adding a dark red colour of the same size next to the yellow light emiited from the lamp. It creates a more natural orange colour. Also, I suggest decreasing the white hexcode to something more grey-ish to create a more natural, spooky ambience.

I hope a MOD saw that *Hopes for valued member badge sometime soon*

Bloody games: You seem to have lost consistancy...why would the same light model emmit a different coloured light. Also, use more than one light to create different colours.

90. Full Lightmapping.

He said so up a little ways.
