im trying to create a glass for my kitchen pack that im realeasing, sadly i cant figure out how to make a see through texture, can someone help? the file is in .obj format

This one is an easy fix. Make your texture .DDS, and edit the alpha channel (transparency) so that it is see-through. Test it in game, it will be transparent like glass.

Here is a glass texture for you... (see attached)

I used Paint.NET

First I cut out the entire canvas.
Then I drew a 100 wide line using a horizontal fill brush, and repeated until the canvas was cover in little white lines.
Then I did a 45 degree motion blur effect.
Then I used the 'frosted glass' distort effect.
Finally I set the opacity to 90 in the layer properties to make it semi transparent.

Anyway you can play around in Paint.NET to get variations now that you know the basic process.

It is easy to do colored glass too.
Just fill the canvas with the desired color, then set the layer properties' opacity to a small number.

Check out the blue glass.... (see attached)
