You rock Scraggle Mind if I add two that I find useful? I have a feeling this thread will turn into a link hub

http://www.anim8or.com Anim8or, a free 3D modeling, rendering, and animation program

http://www.blender.org Blender, a little more high-end than Anim8or and also free. Not like other 3D modeling tools so it might take a while to get the hang of it

The sites you have linked to are not media sites but links to free 3D modeling packages.
This thread was originally for free media but I have added them anyway (they are free after all!)... it's a shame the thread title can't be changed. It would now perhaps be better suited to 'Free Stuff'

For free shader creation, there's Fx Composer from Nvidia http://developer.nvidia.com/object/fx_composer_home.html. Also valve hammer for bsp creation http://collective.valve-erc.com/index.php?go=hammer

Updated to include Limefly. I had never heard of it, so this is helping me aswell. I had a look at their site and they have a good collection of textures but also some good sprites. So I have put LimeFly in the sprites section too.

http://www.terminator-music.co.uk/Frames.html

Some corny MIDI music (sorry, I'm not a big midi fan, hehe) beware the loud blast of annoyingness

Oh yeah, and royalty-free.tv is a nifty, nifty site. I just went there and wow, they have the lowest-priced RF music I've seen. Just thought I'd mention that

One more link for yas

http://developer.nvidia.com/object/melody_home.html

That's NVidia's Melody. I use it for normalizing poly counts in my models. Pretty handy. I don't know where you'd categorize it though.

edit: And Now3D, another modeling program for free

[Updated]

Quote: "Oh yeah, and royalty-free.tv is a nifty, nifty site."

I already had it on the list (third one down) but I dropped the .tv from the name so maybe you didn't recognise it.

Thanks for the extra links. I found it necessary to add two more catagories : Bitmap Fonts and Handy Utilites. So if you have anything that may drop into these catagories please feel free to provide a link.

Thanks

I meant that as a comment, the thing about Royalty-Free... thanks for the link, hehe. I couldn't find free music but I found some awesome BG music for our game that wasn't expensive

Here's some fonts sites that I've found useful. You should contact the author of the fonts, though, and work out something with them individually.

I dunno, I for one never read the DBC forum because I use DBP. It's good to have a list on both, I think, because I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one... unless I am that'd be weird, hehe

No?

Ok then ... after you have clicked the link to 'Our 3D Models' perhaps you should click the link that says 'Click here for our Free 3D Models' near the bottom of the page.
