I created a game with four maps. When i finally got to the last map, it loads the level and then instanly crashes back to desktop with the following error (if i remember correctly): "Array doesn't exist or subscript out of bounds". I checked the map three times in the test mode, and it worked perfectly with no errors. I didn't put any of the entities outside the game area. I also got this error with other game I'm working on. It only happens inside the game exe file.

"Array doesn't exist or subscript out of bounds" is what you mean?
Okay, the Array is a big list of numbers.
The subscript is the location of a number.

List: 1,3,5,6,7,9
SubS: 0,1,2,3,4,5

the value 9 is in subscipt 5.

Now when you call a subscript greater then 5, there is no value, so subscript out of bounds (Well, there techically is a value...)

Compile with 3 maps.
And compile the last map separatly.

Help please. I seem to get this error no matter what level i put as the fourth (and final) one. Strange that this only happens in the game exe.

*MASSIVE BUMP*

Still encountering this problem (with another game). This time I managed to build a game with 6 levels completely, but the last level refuses to load and I get exactly the same error. The only problem would be that I'd have to send the whole game I'm working on (which is unfortunately over 400mb).

the same thing happens to me when i load my last (3rd) lvl on a built game... how do i fix it?

@ Dark Eternity- Yes, but custom sounds have never caused any trouble to me. If you use storyzones in other levels than the first one, yes, it will crash, but I don't think it's related to loading maps.

The map scripts are the standard FPSC ones, and I don't think they're the problem.

I'll try building the last level as a seperate .exe and see if it works. If it does, then it is indeed some kind of a bug with larger games.

(Sorry for not posting for a few days, but I was on holidays)

There is a bug with multiple maps which is why you should make a DBP project if you can to run them all one at a time... Also I mean by using sound zones past the first level I get lag and crashes

Just built the last level as a seperate .exe file, and it worked. Sad that I can't have more than 5 levels per game though.

This is happening to me too now. Array subscript out of bounds at line 22227. Everything was working fine, and I moved a few entities and markers, and suddenly this keeps happening. This is really frustrating...

i think i read on the darkbasic pro extras bit if you gert sub scripts error you can change a file and it works... will post mroe info soon
