I never quite got the hang of the CSG commands invented in 5.8 and the examples always crashed, but you have reignited some ideas. I am rubbish at modelling but making new models out of current primitives opens up a whole new world.

So easy to create stuff like;

The only difficulty is the unknown way it UV maps the newly created inside surfaces so a bit of trial and error may be required.

Bit confused as to the intersection command as most other sites talking about CSG say it should create a new object that included the bits common to both objects. DBPro does something a bit different though. Seems to be similar to difference command but does not create the extra polygons. I agree it's a big shame if cylinders and spheres don't work, but they seem to be special objects where vertex data is non-standard, so that's probably why they don't work. See here for details;

Alquerian also talks about the CSG commands not working on spheres and cylinders.

It works with my cylinders. Wonder why I have to perform the 0,0,0 rotation difference twice to work 0_o
