After installing the Studio version I exported and uploaded an app to the Google play Store and received this error:
Your app currently targets API level 26 and must target at least API level 28 to ensure it is built on the latest APIs optimized for security and performance.
From August 2019, new apps must target at least Android 9.0 (API level 28).
From November 2019, app updates must target Android 9.0 (API level 28).
The highest Android Version available in the export is 8 (API 26)
Also this warning was displayed
Upgrade to new permission model
Warning:
Users that currently have APK with version code 2, which targets SDK 22 or lower, will be eligible to upgrade to this APK. However, once users upgrade to this APK, they will be unable to upgrade to APKs that target SDK 22 or lower.
Tip:
If this is an intended change, then ensure that all future updates for the users that upgrade to this APK target SDK 23 or higher.
As a commercial app developer with several apps about to go live on the store... and August is only days away, can this problem receive some attention please.
I was hoping the new Studio version would have the latest API 28 version in-built....
When will this issue be resolved?
