On National Pancake Day (February 20 2007) IHOP will be giving away free pancakes to everyone that walks into an IHOP in the U.S.(not sure about the u.k.). All they ask is that you consider making a donation to local children's hospitals throgh the Childrens Miracle Network(or other local charities). In 2006 IHOP got over $350,000 dollers and this year they are trying for $500,000. I heard they give you a short stack (3 pancakes). Offfer is good from 7AM to 10PM.

Dunno, but free pancakes sounds mighty good.

There should be be promotions for charity things like this - we have Red Nose Day every year in Blighty, which is often (not always) good for a laugh, check that episode of the Office where Brent does his dance and that's pretty much Nose Day all over. I'm doing my bit, charity lap dances the same as every year.

International House of Pancakes! I guess they don't have any in the UK(So much for the international part). It's pretty good though, been there a few times.

I'm from Aus, and I've never heard of it either, so I think it's fair to say the "International" part of their name is a blatent lie.

And I can't trust any company that has a lie in their name. Just like Microsoft - They're not Micro, they're damned massive... Wouldn't trust 'em as far as I could throw 'em

I've only been to one once, in D.C.

I know they are in Canada and Mexico as well, possibly even Japan. Just because they are not intercontinental, doesn't mean they are not international.

This is only the second mention I have ever heard of them being in Japan, but in any case they are in Mexico and Canada as well. Even mentions it on the link you posted 0_o

Yah we have IHOPs here, but generally you get small portions for a lot of money. Ricky's is much better for breakfast

We normally just cook pancakes ourselves on pancake day. I don't fancy flying to the USA just to get free pancakes though

i've never actually eaten at the one in our town, but i hear on a certain day you can go and for a reasonably small fee eat as many pancakes as you can.
