Hi.
Is there a way to make enemies reacting more quickly and more agressively when they see the player?

The only way I've found to increase the dangerosity of the NPC is to increase their health and the angle of view.
But they still keep inoffensive because I've time to shoot them before they begin to fire at me.
Big NPC health is not a good solution for me. It's not realistic to shoot at each other during hours before killing or being killed...

How do you do to make your NPC behavior more dangerous, realistic and quick?

you could try insulting their mothers. that usually makes em angry.

or you could download sensei ai here :

I realise that Sensei is generally considered to be an ally pack, but it also includes a host of new enemy AI scripts, that will have them reacting more realistically than the stock scripts:

for example, shooting While strafing, and effectively dodging etc.

hey butters i have read your site and manual but still a bit confused can i use sensie ai without empties mod as long as i dont use the allie one? its always easier to get an answer straight from the creator.

My suggestion is to use waypoints. Make a guard walk down the hall toward you. When I played that SciFi-2 map that comes with the game, the Aiko_HeavyWeapon character looked around, and as soon as she turned her head in my direction, she started firing.

yeah, emptys mod is only required for the ally scripts and the ones that start:

4waypoints..
2waypoints...

just change the main script to strafe.fpi or shoot.fpi and the shoot script to shoot.fpi or snipe.fpi and change the fire rate to 150. it works for me.(dont listen to the description for the fire rate!!!!!!!!! it is actually a higher value for a greater rate of fire
