Are you looking for an impressive dynamic website (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Web_page) for you and your team?

I have 4 years experience of designing PHP and MySQL websites and am willing to take on a few jobs. It'll cost you £40 GBP.

One catch... you'll need to already have a hosting account with PHP and MySQL installed. This can you cost you from as little as around £30 GBP a year with people like www.godaddy.com. If you're not sure what you have already, contact your hosting company.

What you'll get from me

* Homepage (content to be agreed during discussions)
* News (with or without a comments section)
* Games (with or without a comments section)
* Projects (with or without a comments section)
* About Us
* Contact Us
* Forum installed of your choice (e.g. phpBB)
* Control Panel to administer all data content on your wesbite
* All pages that allows unregistered users to post comments or send emails will be protected with a spambot filter

What i'll need from you

* Access to your hosting account to upload all files and setup your MySQL databases
* A website design in a .jpeg format 800x600 (I can also design a layout for you but it'll cost you an additional £20)
* You'll need to have MSN Messenger so I can chat through any issues with you.

My Personal Website

http://www.steveharris.info

I don’t have a portfolio at the moment as I’ve only ever designed websites for myself, friends and family. But you can find a few sketches I’ve done here:-

http://www.steveharris.info/portfolio/design2.png

http://www.steveharris.info/portfolio/design5.png
http://www.steveharris.info/portfolio/design6.png
http://www.steveharris.info/portfolio/design7.png

and a website i'm currently working on for my indie team here:-
http://www.steveharris.info/thepeasants

Personally I think this is an excellent deal as you would be looking at a price of a few hundred pounds from most web designing companies. I also get a bit out of this as it helps me to expand my portfolio.

I will only take payment through Paypal. 50% will be payable upon me starting the work and the final 50% once you are happy with the site. All scripts and database schemas will be available to you once the work is done and payment has been received.

Any queries, either post here or send me an email: monkey dot harris at gmail dot com

Lol i don't know if you stand good behind your product and its 100% not a scam and you offer excellent service then i guess its alright -see how others respond - i'm just abit confused on why these forums since most of us make games and not websites but you never know there could be someone. I want to make a website too but im a bit low on cash but im sure you might find someone it seems you offer good service. Wait until a mod or admin sees this and how they respond. I think its okay you seem reliable and your website has a nice layout.
<EDIT>
Since you do it through paypal that shows this isn't most likey a scam.

Good luck

Well I have DB Pro and FPSC and i've visited a few teams/peoples sites to download games or media packs and (no offence to anyone!) they aren't all nice and easy on the eye with a nice layout. Seeming that people are trying to sell games etc to the general public I thought I could help out with a nice website for them

hmmm...
I may also be interested. I have been wanting to redo my site for ages but I'm always too busy developing.
I'll have to think about it.

EZrotate! TextureMax! Enhanced Animations! (coming soon....) 3D Character Maker! (coming soon....)

Thanks El Goorf. I'll look forward to chatting with you.

@ Zappo: lol what's wrong with that? I've been creating games for ages and have always made my own sites and sites for my team etc. As I said in my post i'm pretty cheap compared to a professional designer! Not to blow my own trumpet either, but getting a website done by a professional company doesn't always mean you'll get a professional website. Whereas I think mine are pretty decent. Did you have a look at my site?

I did and its awesome! You've been on the forums for like 2 and a half years so i guess you are trustworthy . Its the worst when someone joins the forums like 2 months ago and tries to make some sort of business then you begin to wonder if they are trust worthy. You seem trustworthy. Good luck

I did look. Its very good as a personal site. I didn't mean any disresepct but if you are selling design and programming services its very different to doing sites for family and friends. Like you say, your prices are very good as long as people aren't expecting commercial quality or experience.
Just out of interest, are the 'news' pages etc. going to be PHP driven too, or modified manually by editing the pages?

Pretty Nice work. Do you use table designs though? And what about the PHP version? You do realise you could also just make the mysql db outside of their account, put it into a text file, and tell them how to import it usually right? You could just give them the files too, lol. This is a programmers forum, most of us know atleast beginners server workings Im guessing.

Advertising isn't strictly against our Rules, but we generally don't allow it.

In this case, I'll leave the thread unlocked for now until any complaints or otherwise.

Scams are a dime a dozen these days, so always be on the look-out for something that may seem fishy to you, and don't ever give out any personal details, or any information that seems irrelivant to what the service is offering.
Of course, I cannot say whether or not NewKlear is in a scam, so do not let me discourage anyone from taking up his services

[EDIT]
You have a very nice design sense, too.
All of your pages are quite well layed out and easy on the eyes.
It'd be interesting to see what your back-end is like (I've developed a few websites myself)

Yes all news is retrieved from the database, they are and fully editable/deletable as well. Same as Projects, Games pages etc

Quote: "Do you use table designs though?"

Yes I do. It's just the way I prefer to work.

Quote: "And what about the PHP version? "

All depends on what is installed on your web server.

Quote: "You do realise you could also just make the mysql db outside of their account, put it into a text file, and tell them how to import it usually right?"

Yup. But i'm offering a service from start to finish. If people don't want that then that's fine and I can give them the script to run on their db to create the tables.

Quote: "You have a very nice design sense, too."

Thanks

I'm not that way inclined i'm afraid! Joking aside it's not overly complicated PHP and it doesn't do anything amazing it just does what it says on the tin.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I realise that some of you are more than happy to make your own websites so this offer isn't for you!

NewKlear - slightly off topic - but do you live in/near Colchester? I noticed that one of your projects was a company based on CO6 which is in between Colchester and Chappel. I went to Uni in Colchester and REALLY liked it around there - found a FANTASTIC pub in Chappel called The Swan. The best steak I've ever had!

Haha yes. I did live in Coggeshall (which is where that shop is based) but now I live in Chelmsford.

That pub you mentioned is excellent! Best seafood in Essex if you get a chance to try it again!

My family had seafood as said it was great - not a big fan of seafood myself - but I can still appreciate how good it looked!

I never really saw much of Chelmsford - only what blurred by my window as I drove up the A12 (or, as sometimes happened, crawled up the A12).

I live in Witham which is slap bang between Chelmsford and Colchester.

I much prefer Chelmsford to Colchester though, but that's probably because I have lots of relatives there and the shops are a bit more modern. Colchester has lots of shops but laid out in a really annoying way.

Yay, long live the A12!

Boo!

In its defence, it is the oldest (recorded) city in England... I dont think the romans had any concept of double decker busses

@Nicholas: Perhaps they had double decker carriages though=P. The romans were really smart, you gotta remember
