I have a DS lite and its great for gaming! I have Mario Karts Advance Wars Dual strke Animal Crossing and more! As a gaming device it's great!
But I want to have a device that I can use for 2 main points

1. Multimedia
2. PIM (Personal Information Manager)

I thought the PSP.
Yeah it has the Multimedia part but I'm not to sure about the PIM side. Will it be able to replace my PDA with any 'mods' that I might add to give it PIM functions?

Maybe I should go for a Dell Axim? They have multimedia (- Games but like I said I have a DS for that) functions, and they are gret at PIM! I mean that's what there built for! But I heard Pocket PC's are dying sales are going down everyone isn't interested in them anymore.
So what do you think I should do? Do you have any advice? If you own a DS (Lite), PSP and a PDA it would be great to get some advice from you!

Maybe there's another option? Should I waot for the next version of the PSP?

I have an ipod and cell phone and that works for me but then again i dont need a PIM and it depends on your budget if you have the cash try blackberry but thats expensive so try and find something else. I'll search for something too and post if i find anything good. Check if a cell phone has the features you need - it takes notes , saves contacts , Takes Pictures, some have music so multimedia and some have games. Check out all your choices before you make your decision as all this is expensive.

The PSP (for men) rocks compaired to the DS (for girlies and children)

There is no perfect do-it-all solution but Nokia has come close I think.

None of the PDAs or phones come even close to the graphics power of the PSP though

Yeah, seriously, the PSP has been going downhill since it has like 10 good games. The DS has a lot of games that appeal to males. For example, I owned a PSP, beat Daxter, unlocked everything in lumines, and beat ridge racer, wipeout pure, and even messed around with Infected. Then I sold it and bought a DS. Muuuuch better system.

And anyways, the PSP is dying right now, and everyone knows it. Sony will probably be soon announcing the PSP 2 anyways. The PSP is just a glorified PSP lite, really.

I have a Palm TX myself. I use it mostly on my daily commute, though it's great for taking anywhere else. It has all of the office tools I need to create documents for work built into it. It has its own media playing thingie that handles the most used file types, but I tend to use another free one called TCPMP that handles pretty much everything else. I also have an emulator or two on it for some classic games - LJP. And finally, there's a few ports of some neat 3D games like quake and doom available.

I'd say the gaming aspect of it isn't great unless you're interested in playing classics for older systems, but it covers everything else pretty nicely.

I made a little compilation of interesting TX sites here:

Get one of those DS cartridges that allow you to do homebrew. I've got one on mine, and even though haven't used it much yet, it definitely has the functionality to play MP3s and Video (think you have to convert video though). I bought the M3 Simply. Nice device which allows MicroSD cards to be inserted.

Personally though I also have a PDA, so I don't really use the DS for PDA tasks, and don't know what software (or good it is) is out there really.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing
